The Humphreys Half Moon Inn and Suites is a waterfront resort on Shelter Island, approximately three miles from San Diego International Airport. Humphrey's is located within 10 minutes' driving distance of SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, beaches, and downtown. Mexico is roughly 20 minutes away.Hotel amenities include the tropical gardens, palm trees, and soothing waterfalls. Guests can enjoy the heated pool and spa, exercise room, city and bay views, lawn games, concierge assistance, room service, and award-winning restaurant and lounge.All rooms feature air-conditioning, clock radios, hairdryers, video game rentals, free HBO, coffee, in-room safe, and weekday newspapers. Parking is 10 per car, per night.

The room we had was 1950's, very old and really needed remodeling. The bed was hard and the room tiny. The room was located by the parking lot side of the lobby, by the trash cans and the hotel shuttle. Very noisey and cramped. This was the "snooze and cruise" special. Take it from me, do not book a room this way. At the end of the cruise we returned to the hotel and mentioned our displeasure and we were told that "this was the room you reserved". Upon checking in later that day, we were given a complemtary upgrade, this room was the complete opposite. It was roomy and the beds were better, this is what we expected in the first place. Some of the staff was very accodating and some was not. The first night staff was unfriendly, on our return vist the staff was very helpful and understanding. Check with the holel directly prior to reserving a room to make sure you will be given a decent comfortable room.
We had a nice time. The power went out at the hotel while we were there and the staff was as in the dark as we were, they didn't know what was going on nor did they seem to make an effort to find out.Other than that our stay was great!
Humphreys Half Moon is a very unique place with a great resturant and music club but the hotel and the rooms are terribly outdated and in desperate need of a makeover. A great pool and the setting on the harbor is neat. In the summers they have concerts on their attached concert stage
My wife and I love staying at Humphrey's Halfmoon Bay Inn located in San Diego, CA. Great views from rooms.
We loved our stay. The room was nice and the beds were better than many of the hotels we have stayed in. The restaurnt had great food and a great Sunday brunch. The kids loved the heated pool and jacuzzi. I will go back.
The tropical ambiance and the service reminded me of back home in Hawaii. Nice place to chill-lax. Will definitely be back!
