This hotel description does not include the OLD hotel building included in this 'resort' that is all run down, smelly and gross. Of All rooms we were stuck in this building. The carpets were all nasty and stained. The rooms were small and not as spacious as we thought it would be from the pictures. We spent a good amount of money for our crappy room, it was quite a dissapointment from all of us who were excited to actually spend the weekend at a 'Resort' not a old run down hotel building, next to the 'resort' part. Also our room didnt have a balcony like we asked- the view from our room was of the maids and the stocking room area next to the beautiful resort building, no real sight to see. I was very dissapointed at this place. I wouldnt recommend anyone staying there with out actually knowing or seeing the whole place or knowing what building tower your going to be staying in.

The room was clean and the grounds were very beautiful. There were several pools as well as restaurants available on the grounds. Unfortunately, the walls of my room were extremely thin and I could easily hear my neighbors conversations. Additionally, I was in an end unit where the maids lined up each morning to check in. There conversations were quite loud early in the morning.

We were treated very good and the mall next to the resort was very nice, We were next to the metro station for the bus and the trolley. We only had a problem with the outdated room drapes and comforter, if the drapes and comforter is updated this is a great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a trolly stop across the parking lot to get to old/down town and easy access to I-8 to get to Balboa Park. The grounds are very nice with several pools.

My family of 4 switched rooms 3 times. The first one was tiny for 4 people, the beds were uncomfortable and we were right next to the Security Office so it was pretty loud. We had arrived after 10 pm and were quite hungry. The only on-site restaurant open at that time prepared the worst meal my family has every had! (However, Trellises restaurant redeemed the restaurant quality for this hotel.) The maids opened our door at 8 am the next morning to clean our room - don't they get a list of the new check-ins?? The hotel staff moved us to a larger room our 2nd day. Yes, the room was larger, but it was VERY run down and not too cleanly. I called the front desk and told them we would be willing to pay extra money for a decent room or we would prefer to move back to our original room. They said that would not be necessary and moved us to a "newly renovated" building. This time it was more along the lines of what we were expecting for the money we paid. But, how could we enjoy it after all of this?
