We had read some bad reviews before taking a chance and booking anyway. Glad we did! Everyone at the resort from the front desk to the cleaning crew were all super nice! We were treated with the upmost respect. Our two kids(11 and 12) enoyed the huge pool they had, my husband and I enjoyed the two hottubs. The pool was clean and maintained often. The bar and restaurant staff were wonderful. We had some dinner one night at the Oive and it was superb! Drinks are a little pricey, but that is expected at a resort. The spa is great! Had a wonderful sweedish massage. Overall, our stay was fantastic! We will definitly stay there again!

The 20.00 per day for parking was outrageous given the price of the rooms and our room smelled musty.

The location is right off of Mission Bay in San Diego, a beautiful location & the rooms are nice. Although the rooms at the Hyatt across the bay are even nicer. What bothered me was the way the treated me. I went for an early check in so that I could get a nicer room with a view. Oh, be prepared to pay 22/day in parking and 11/day for internet. The main lobby is a hallway with a check in desk. I get into the 2nd floor double room that is located directly over the entrance of the building with a parking lot view. I called the manager to complain and ask for a room with a king bed. After persisting and going round and round with this guy, he finally confesses that they do have a king bed room and consents to moving me there. It is across the hall from my 1st room over the entrance to the rear of the building and a view of that parking Finally, house keeping people knock early, we told them 10 minutes. On our way out we gave them the okay and they said our room was next. It never got cleaned.

Very Clean! If you don't have a car, it might be a little isolated to get to Mission & Pacific Beach, but the Hilton does have it's own beach on east Mission Bay. It is a wonderful setting for weddings etc. Great destination resort...but it means that you will have to pay hotel prices to eat and drink if you don't have transportation. Hilton has its own dock for boat/sailboat rentals. Great setting to learn to sail. Old style, with lawns and palm trees...they could never afford to build it today with current land prices. They seem to spend a lot of time on maintaining the grounds. Ground floor in the two story buildings [200 series etc] have sliding glass doors, patios with lounge chairs and bay views. Safe environment, great for walking and bike riding...short drive to Sea World...easy access to I-5, but get a map for navigating around the Bay's on/off ramps. Staff was friendly and professional. Nice place to kick back and relax. It is not inexpensive, but good value. City parkgrounds are next to it for more lawn areas...lots of families flying kites, tossing frisbees etc. Similar to the Hyatt Resort in Newport Beach, except the Hilton is right on east Mission Bay. 12 valet parking.

Went here on vacation with our two daughters. Hotel was very nice and everything you would expect from a Hilton. Nice little beach and very close to Sea World, etc. Breakfast was really good. Room nice with a great view. Would definately come back. Downside was the pool was pretty small for a resort this size. Seems odd that Hilton did build several connected pools with slides, etc. Not a huge deal but probably keeps me from giving the hotel 5 stars. We did a boat ride in the harbor, rented jet skis, and went parasailing. All easy to arrange.

I found that the hilton was very nice place to stay at the only thing we found was the maids need to wipe the walls down there was something nasty wiped on the walls. it grossed me out. other than that the staff was helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and everything was close by we enjoyed our stay. if you go shopping go towards pacific beach we found 7elevns, coin operated laundrys, pizza and fast food places, the way to get there is ingraham street and garnet or grand avenue either of these will get you some place good and the pacific beach is there also. and also mission blvd will get you to all the shopping stores and gifts.
