Tower23 is one of San Diegos newest beachfront, luxury lifestyle hotels and one of Californias most stylish and contemporary urban resorts. The hotel's name is derived from the lifeguard tower 23 that perches between the ocean and the resort's front door and creates a cool haven to enjoy one of America's finest cities. Tower23 is located on one of Southern California's premier beaches, Pacific Beach and is the first luxury hotel to be built on the beach in San Diego in over a decade. The exclusive resort community of La Jolla is just north of the hotel. Unique shops and restaurants are located within walking distance while downtown San Diego, the airport (approximately eight miles away), major business centers and popular area attractions are minutes away.Tower23 is neo-modernist, glass boutique hotel that is refreshingly minimalistic, playful, and a creative study for the urban beach resort. Responding to the sites natural elements, an environment of sun, ocean sky and sand at waters edge, a boardwalk alive with energy set against crashing ocean waves Tower23 is a translucent, exquisite crafted glass box that is an energetic, contemporary celebration of the elements. Hotel amenities include the 10,000-square-foot restaurant Jordan with steak-and-seafood fare, a sushi bar, fireside patio, 75-foot long wave wall, and verandah overlooking the boardwalk, Surf-Sky-Spirit (indoor/outdoor bar), business center, and complimentary wireless Internet access, even on the beach. We just spend two nights at Tower 23 Hotel. It's a gorgeous hotel across from the beach. Drove down from San Rafael - 11 hour trip on Thanksgiving...

Tower23 sets a new standard for cool in San Diego. The place has an easy, comfortable modern design, a friendly, helpful staff, luxurious rooms and sensational beach views at the bar, on the balcony and from the rooms. It's the coolest place in town.

Excellent location. Great spot on the beach and close to La Jolla and Mission Bay. Staff was wonderful and the restaraunt (and room service) was five star. We will go back. Pay the extra and get the ocen view, it was well worth it.

Well, we are very spoiled 5star type travelers, and so we also read all the reviews, negative and positive, but because we were with our two young 20ish boys, and love modern decor, this was the place to try. Very clean, comfy beds, yes-IKEA type furniture, but truly only had two complaints about the room. One, the bathroom door which slides shut, had two huge cracks either side of it when closed, so NO privacy in the bathroom! Perhaps just our room had the too narrow cut bathrm door? The walls are not soundproof...woke up at 3 in the morning to a group of young men hollering, fighting in the room next door. The 3 sleeping men in my room of course didn't wake up, just me.The restaurant JRDN on site is FABULOUS. We all agreed that it was NOT overpriced in our mind for breakfast or lunch, dinner maybe. The Chantilly cream/fruit french toast for breakfast was fantastic, and the flat iron steak dinner was by far the best steak I have ever had! I read that in another review and wow, it is really that good.We will go again, and bring our small dog next time, which they do allow. Great Location to rent bikes and travel the boardwalk.

My husband and I stayed here in March. This place is amazing! We stayed in a room that opens right out to the ocean. I saw the most beautiful sunsets from the very cool balcony with a glass of wine in hand from the wait staff. The rooms are very modern and sleek. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was just perfect!

-Sleek modern rooms, comfy bed, helpful staff, and did I mention THE VIEW.-JRDN is a must!HINT: Tip the valet each time! At check out we only paid for one night of parking during our 5 night stay!

This hotel is very contemporary and peaceful. Simple lines and decor...wonderful upper balcony for guests to sit and order drinks and watch beach life below.....not really kid friendly..although my kids thought it was great (but they love upscale!) Food is amazing!

A cool, modern oasis in land laden with beach shacks, it's PB's most dressed-up crash pad.
