For business travelers this is a nice hotel. It is located right off 405 with easy access to Pacific Coast Highway and the beautiful Southern California Coast. Right across the street is a great outdoor mall with plenty of good food. Try the Japanese restaurant and you won't be disappointed. I didn't see much activity at the hotel bar, but the bartender was very friendly. The restaurant served a decent breakfast that didn't break the bank. I can't speak for the lunch or dinner. If you plan to hang at the beach, you will have to drive there but it takes less then 10 minutes. The people at the desk were great. The only negative I could find was they charge a fee for the use of the business center. Wireless is free in the rooms though. The pool had a nice outside area where you could lay in the sun. They do need to keep the kids a bit more quiet. There were no parents to be found each time I was at the pool. Although the kids were polite enough, they needed some supervision.

We actually checked out after 2 days and cut our losses. Found a hotel closer to the beach and downtown.

 by  anonymous  on  2007-07-02

hotel room was adequate. room was clean. pillows were so stiff they could not be slept on. carpet in hallway, elevator was black with dirt. Excellent location and price.

 by  anonymous  on  2007-06-02

had trouble finding staff the whole trip. had to wait every time when trying to eat or whatever. no toilet paper in room and housekeeping didn't replace it!!

 by  anonymous  on  2007-06-02

We were very disappointed in this hotel. The service was awful. We were constantly waiting at the bar for service. The bartender was never around. We called for toilet paper for our room. We're still waiting. Upon checkout, the front desk people gave away our boarding passes that we had faxed to the hotel to someone else that was checking out without checking the name. Lousy service overall.
