A very adaquate place to stay
This is an older place a little over a mile from the entrance to Disney (it was 1.2 miles from there to the House of Blues, our destination). ...
i don't recommend any family or anybody to stay here it was really bad to start off the bed was hard, they gave us the oppisite of what we wanted, there was bugs on the bed, there was rats, the place was a mess, the room was very tiny and there were holes in the walls (i guess the bugs and the rats made those) so i don't recommend this nasty hotel to any of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't want to stay here. First they gave us a key to a room that had a "do not disturb" sign on it and the key didn't work. In the next room the beds were unmade and there was garbage in the room. The third room had BEDBUGS in both beds. I took a cup full of these bugs down to the front desk when I demanded a refund. GROSS!!!!!! The room smelled and in hindsight I think they tried to bomb the bugs. This hotel needs some major work.
We went there, and like usual, we give them a credit card for extra room charges, etc.. Well, they decided to charge me for the full price of the room, even though I already payed for it through the travel agency. I called the travel agency right away, and they called the front desk to rectify the situation. I was assured that they know it was a mistake, and I would be refunded. here it is, November ( trip was in april ), and I've called them 6 times now to try to get them to refund me. NOTHING..I've had to turn the matters over to the travel agency's Consumer Affairs..but at this point, I doubt either of them will buck up the 180. Screw Econolodge..
I did not enjoy this hotel at all. I kept waking up every couple of hours during the night because the bed was squeaky and the plastic under the sheets was loud. It was uncomfortable. The sink was leaking as well. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.
First things first. NIce people own this place. But that is where it stops. This motel is falling apart. Carpets are GROSS. Furniture is Gross, Dirty, needs to be replaced. Needs the entire place to have a Good Cleaning which hasn't been done in for ever. Paint the dirty walls or some thing. Yes this is a cheaply priced per night motel but come on, you should be able to walk across the floor without sticking to it. The beds had clean sheets but dingy, the towels are dingy believe they do their own laundry. OK, but use bleach Please. TV picture was side ways, Room smelled."
Beware of paying cash to this motel while your credit card info is with them. They will double charge you! They won't work with you even if you try to settle the matter with them. Never pay cash! Check your credit card account after your stay.
