The boutique luxury inn is located on an acre of beautiful gardens just a short walk to the downtown historic and cultural district. The Simpson House Inn is also within walking distance to fine restaurants and shops, the Santa Barbara Mission, the Museum of Art and the historic Red Tile Walking Tour. An authentic Santa Barbara experience starts at the Simpson House Inn which dates from 1874. The inn was originally built by Robert and Julia Simpson who emigrated from Scotland. The historic Italianate Victorian manor is considered one of the best preserved and restored homes of its era in California. There are six luxurious guest rooms available in the estate house that are complemented by four, private English-style cottages and four spacious, well-appointed guestrooms in the historic Carriage House, originally built in 1876. Hotel amenities included a complimentary gourmet breakfast daily, evening wine tasting and hors d?oeuvres, complimentary parking, wireless high speed Internet, complimentary use of bicycles and croquet and wood-burning fireplaces in the Garden Cottages and the Carriage House.
