WE WILL BE STAYING AGAIN DEFFIENTLY
I LIKED THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK. THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. THERE WAS ONE MAN IN GENERAL NAMED GLENN HE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.
The location and scenery from the rooms is great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were smelly and need some work done on the interior to update and refresh them. Having a small refrigerator and microwave was a great help.
If you want a cut and slice regular hotel - you can find them in Oakhurtst , but the Best Western had it's own character which we really appreciated from the art to the carvings to the park-like setting. Because of the unusual heat in May we appreciate a ground floor room - cool, calm and dark for sleeping. The fridge and microwave were also good. Being away from the road another plus. The rooms were clean and I thought, spacious. We enjoyed the pool outside immensely - it made us feel like we were finally on vacation. Breakfast was a little odd as the ladies were lovely but a bit confused, as if they had never served before, but they were sweeties. We went to a recommended BBQ place up the road which was uncomplicated and filling.
This is a very quaint motel. The people were nice and friendly. The room was nice and quiet. There was not continental, although the restaurant on-site was very good. A little difficult to find the room in the dark, and the second floor is a little hard to get to. But it is close to the park and still is quite a treat.
While this hotle is 1 1/2 hrs away from the center of Yosemite Natl Park, it is very clean and comfortable and offers acces to many local restarants. The beds were confortable and the rooms were clean. We did experience some minor temp fluctuations in water temperature in peak showering hours - but otherwise a great place to stay.
1.5 hours from Yosemite Valley this was ideal place for one day trip. Pools were nice, computer available in lobby for free internet use, beautiful location and nice room. Some Best Western's offer free breakfast, this one did not. Oh well.
We got this hotel as a walk-in, and we were suprised! It was clean and nice, the staff was very friendly. The hotel is a little dated, but nice and clean.
