Just another budget hotel in Monterey. It's worth 40-50 per night, tops.
Don't stay here. There are at least 10 other hotels on the same block and honestly it is worth the extra $15 to stay in one of them. The Casa Verde Inn is...
Soooooooo .. Yes I agree with Terika & M.K. Shady, Seedy all of the above and some I can't even say on this review cause that would be more of a waste of...
Great location to downtown Monterey, but right across the street from a strip club! Rooms are insanely tiny, mattresses are totally worn out and sit on the floor (no bed frame), all linens are ancient and threadbare. One tiny window opening, no a/c, and our screen was broken. Relatively clean, but not a comfortable stay in any other respect.
A terrible motel! Most TINY room I've ever seen. I think it was clean, but a little difficult to tell based on the Brown Decor. Mattress was horrible with springs sticking into my back no matter how i slept (on my pancake of a pillow). Sheets and towels were clean but ancient, and the bedspread was older than my grandma. The mattress and boxspring sat on the floor (no bed frame). No A/C. The window was big, but the part that opens was tiny (but just big enough for a person to fit through), plus the screen was broken off so we didn't feel secure sleeping with the window open anyways. No refridgerator so we had nowhere to put the snacks we brought. Wallpaper peeling in places, one of the lamps was broken (not that there was anything to see). Only good thing was that it was only 10 minutes from downtown Monterey, however this "good location point" was cancelled out by the strip club across the street. By far the worst place I've ever slept. Avoid if at all possible!!!
