Can hear al but the ants?
The service was fine and friendly. Went on a holiday weekend and was impressed at the location. Only 3 miles to the aquarium and Cannery Row. ...
We have stayed at the motel several times. We have always been happy with the cleanliness of the rooms. The staff has always been pleasant. The breakfasts are about what you would expect. It's a nice touch, but nothing exceptional. The breakfast area has always been neat and clean. Parking is somewhat problematical. Much of the parking in under the motel structue and there are a lot of pipes hanging down that can scratch and dent the top of a vehicle. Parking under the motel is fine for a car but pick up trucks and other large, tall vehicles will have problems. As of the middle of April, the motel was under going renovation.
We were in for quite a shock when we drove up to the La Quinta Inn, Monterey. The ENTIRE Exterior is under construction with scaffolding throughout. It looks TERRIBLE. We were shocked that the travel agency and La Quinta Inn would still book this hotel to customers. It is unsafe and we could barely park our car without knocking down all the scaffolding. The front desk clerk gave us a room with a lake view, but it wasn't much of a view with construction boards and scaffolding right out our window. We were woken up at 7am with the loud noise of a construction worker using a nail gun right next to our window! We will be attaching photos soon.
low price in expensive area. cross to embessy hotel whith double price. clean.quiet.good breakfast.great value.
Very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was spacious and decor was tasteful. The continental breakfast was plentiful with a good variety. It's in a great location; I'd stay there again.
The decor is quite ugly, but the rooms are nice and big and very clean. The hotel was quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was decent. There were 5 of us and we were all satisfied with this place. The only problem was that it was kind of far away from the main attractions of the area so you have to drive everywhere, but it's easy to find things.
