After a few days of being in town, I moved to the Monteray. I was very pleased with the room, staff and the breakfast was very nice. It was charming.
1) Walls are so thin we heard the guy next door snore all night. 2) Some rooms (the one we got) are small and dark with one small window, and are next to the noisy staircase. 3) The shower did not maintain a constant temperature. We nearly got scalded a few times.
Be aware that some room are shockingly small. Ours had about 3 feet around the queen bed which included the space for dresser, 2 nightstands & desk. Also a club next door made sleep impossible even on 4th floor due to loud patrons on the street all night and cars with loud engines, squealing brakes and blaring boombox radios. Location is good and hotel itself okay but I would not stay here again. BTW, thw water was turned off for several hours when we arrived.
The WORST! It's like sleeping on the street!
This hotel is beyond awful. It's across the street from a popular bar, so all night long you hear people screaming, partying, etc. It was godaw...
