Very good value for the price. But I was surprised when my request to see the room before I take it was rejected. Updated, clean rooms with refrigerator. Don't expect a fancy breakfast. Typical American Condinental Breakfast (Muffins, Danish and Orange Juice).
This place was clean, people were nice, it was quite, great room for the price. It was perfect we were not far from the downtown, or the highway to head up the coast....
Queen size bed or Queen size ironing board???Terrible pillowsShower stall clogged - we'll see what type of foot parasites I develop.Wi-fi signal was so weak it was unusable.Wouldn't budge on checkout time by more than 30 minutes.All of this = 3 hours of sleep. Pick another hotel. There are a lot of them to chose from.
Overall this was a very good place, the office staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived the heat had been turned off because the previous night had been quite hot we were told. When we realized this at 2230 that night the office staff immediately come by to turn it on. Room quality was deficient in that there was no clock in the room, closet space was quite tiny and the internet service was slow. But the room was very clean, and the bed quite comfortable. Since we only stayed a single night the room deficiencies were a big deal. The location was very convenient, quite close to the freeway exit but yet the place was secluded and noise was not a problem.
Monterey is just beautiful and this hotel was very nice and staff very nice. Better than I expected considering a 2 star and very worth the money spent. Only complaint would be the towels smelled a little musty and beds were a little stiff. Other than that very nice. Would go back for sure. Other complaint would be the taxi service was late picking me up and taking me to the airport and almost missed my flight home. Couldn't get ahold of anyone at the office or anywhere at 5 am and was a little ""upset"" since I ordered taxi through the hotel. Monterey is just breathtaking.
This hotel is beautiful and has gorgeous flowers all over the lot. Staff was extremely helpful. Good location. Well worth the money. Clean rooms. Nice size bathroom. Beds alittle hard but not too bad overall. Loved the city and think the weather was gorgeous. Overall trip was really good and would stay here again and again. Everything was pretty close in driving distance to hotel.
