Cyril

A nice relaxing and romantic retreat

(Rating: 4) by Cyril on August 26, 2009

I took my wife there (sans kids) for a night with their "Resort Reconnect" package, which includes a coupon for resort services + breakfast. This place is insanely expensive and they charge you additional fees at many corners, but I must admit the experience is flawless. My wife enjoyed their full service spa and the live jazz at the Conservatory on Thursday nights is really nice for dinner. Their copious breakfast buffet @ Navio overlooking the coastline bluffs is also a wonderful experience. There is also easy access to the coastline trail for a nice walk along the cliffs and adjacent gold course. Definitely a nice resort to try out for a special occasion!

We booked this trip as a long weekend getaway, once we got there, we wished we could have booked it for a longer stay. The property is just beautiful, the views from our room were amazing. We will definately be back soon!

 by  anonymous  on  2007-05-02

This hotel is everything you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. The location on the beach is breathtaking and you are waited on hand and foot upon arrival (with a glass of wine no less). Beware the dry cleaning, it's expensive and they ruined one of my husband's shirts. Beautiful rooms and the resort fee is completely worth the use of all ameneties.

 by  anonymous  on  2006-12-02

Valet completely ignored us on numerous occasions. Our Ocean view room had a mouse in it that chewed up our bottled water and tea bags.

 by  anonymous  on  2006-11-02

For my bf and I, it cost almost 200, we had no wine, ordered one appetizer and entree each and shared a desert. The portions were so tiny that we had to order room service afterwards. My bf literally ate his rib eye in 10 seconds. They were the most miniscule medallions of meat you've ever seen. I took about a minute, sadly chewing my duck breast and thinking, the flavor is great, but i'm so hungry i don't care. To have a truly hearty meal there, you would need at least 8 entrees to one person, which would cost you hundreds.

Beautiful Location?Lots of outdoor activities?great getaway spot.Very Romantic?True Ritz Carlton experience!

 by  anonymous  on  2006-08-02

Navio is beautiful. However, you cannot get full without spending at least XXX per person. The portions are mserly.
