The worst Super 8 Motel experience
The check in process is the slowest I have ever experienced in any hotel, and it is not comparable at all to any other Super 8. It took me 20 m...
Good in Parts
First of all, this is the Super 8 CLOSEST to Fisherman's Wharf. That does not mean close. It would not be decribed by most people as within wal...

Don't book your room directly with this place - go through super 8

We stayed here mainly because of the price. The room was small, but clean and in fairly good shape. I agree with a previous review about the parking problem. We were apprehensive about leaving the parking area for fear that we would lose our spot and have to park on the street. It's not a big deal, and we would stay there again.
We arrived at the hotel at 11pm and there was no parking available. The owners told us to park on the street, but to be ready to move the car before 9am for street sweeping. There was no free parking for us at this hotel. In addition, our room had no towels. We called room service and it took them half and hour to bring towels. I do not recommend this hotel.
Good things first: low price, free parking, nice staff, plenty of hot water for shower. Now for the not so great stuff: not as near to Fishermans' Wharf as some reviews made it sound, wall paper peeling off in room, very bad TV reception, internet was free but signal didn't reach our room, dirty grout in shower, continental breakfast was lowest quality I've seen, very tight parking spots.
Free coffee refills and budget rates make this motel tops with highway travelers.
