I was very disappointed in this hotel. I am a fan of Embassy Suites and have stayed in several other of the same chain, but this one was very disappointing. When I checked in they wanted to give me one king bed for five people. After taking care of that and finally getting to our non-smoking room, it reeked of smoke. When I called the front desk, I was told that it was a non-smoking room and that I was wrong--there couldn't possibly be any smoke odor! Changing rooms was out of the question, according to the front desk. I called again and was told that if they had to, they would send housekeeping to spray the room. So we got flowered smoke odor. We bought Febreeze and that helped a bit, but everytime we re-entered the room we could smell it. The kids and I were sneezing all weekend. The one saving grace, the morning breakfasts. Hot food, attentive service and great variety of breakfast foods made this the good part of the stay. The indoor pool was hot, humid, and dirty. There were dirty towels everywhere. and we were told that it was opened until midnight, but my teenagers were thrown out at 10 PM. The staff was satisfactory, but no one went out of their way to greet us or try to make us feel welcome. When I asked a question, I felt as if I was imposing on them. I would definitely not recommend this property. In my opinion, it is not the place for work or play!

The room was very nice had some issues with appliances but the staff addressed them immediately. The Breakfast staff was the best I've seen at an Embassy or anywhere else. prompt, courteous, freindly and kept the dining area debri free and well stocked. Thhe desk staff could take some pointers. The managers host hour should also learn from the Breakfast staff. Served in a cramped corner when the facility could easily host this out in the very nice open air area. The non alcholis drinks could be self served from the fountain dispencer leaving the bar area and bar staff free to accomodate adult libations. The mais service was above average also in they were courteous also, cheery good mornings and detail to the small things and an ovious care for your personal items. We have stayed at this Embassy after having a not so good experience at the Aurora facility. I am a silver member of Hilton Honors and after many stays at Embassies this facility is a pleasure.

When you first walk in, the lobby is really beautiful, with fountains and plants. The rooms are comfortable, and the employees are really friendly. This hotel is a good hotel for families. I would stay there again.
