The Lion Square Lodge offers accommodations in close proximity to Vail's Eagle Bahn Gondola. Vail is approximately 120 miles from Denver and the Denver International airport. The property offers secluded lodging just steps from Vail's charming, shop-filled streets. For year-round swimming, the property has an outdoor pool accompanied by three whirlpools. Guests will also find saunas and a small exercise room on the property. The nearby Cascade Health Club and Spa offers lodge guests complimentary entry privileges. To enhance your visit, the property offers concierge services, complimentary ski valet and storage, a business center, free parking, complimentary coffee in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, valet laundry, and five meeting rooms. There are 28 lodge rooms and 83 condominiums at the lodge. Lodge rooms offer mini-refrigerators and coffeemakers. Condominiums include hairdryer, iron, ironing board, free HBO, daily newspaper, a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, barbecue grills, and balconies offering dramatic views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains or Lionshead Village.Please note that, due to the construction of the new Vail Square in Lionshead, some daytime construction noise and inconvenience is expected beginning April 4, 2005.

From the outside I was hesitant. However, the hotel was great! The staff was wonderful and willing to help out in any way. It is right on the slope and next to the river. The gondola is right there, and the free bus will take you into town if you want to party at the great clubs, or eat at the amazing restaurants. I already have my next trip booked.
I spent a night here in July. Great hotel for walking to the Gondala in the summer. Only 10-15 minute walk to Vail Village. My only complaint was the nearby construction. I knew when we booked the room that there was construction, but it started promptly at 7am and it was too loud to go back to sleep. Also, no air conditioning, which would not matter most times of the year, but the room was warm during the day.
This hotel was just wonderful. They have done an interior rehab since my last visit and the rooms are really nice. The price is a little bit high but I was so pampered with the hot tub, the ski valet, and the concierge that I didn't care.I just loved the place and can't wait to go back. It is also very kid friendly and has a good system of babysitters from the Vail School system."
Neighbor's daughter wedding; decided to make our summer vacation also. Condo was large and spacious, but best feature was location; walked to bike rentals, gondola ride, excellent restaurants, shopping. Views were beautiful. Too busy with walking, bicycling, hiking, site seeing for use of the pool. Plan to return in both summer and winter 2-3 years.
The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was great. They could use a small restuarant open for guests even in the ""off season.""
