What a beautiful hotel. They've left no detail undone. I've been in a lot of fancy, expensive hotels and this was amazing. (and we got a fabulous rate and the fact that it was a wednesday off season) My husband especially loved the tv in the bathroom, while I loved the treats that welcomed us. Fabulous fabulous hotel and service. Would definitelyl go back!!!
I stayed at the new Arrablle @ Vail Square in the lionshead part of vail for business, and this is a gorgeous new property. it has a very european feel to it. Beautful spa, great location, and the rooms were really nicely done. the beds were incredibly comfortable. The meeting space was nice as well - and the food was some of the best i've tasted in mountain country. The hotel really strives to be 'green' - so I liked that aspect as well. Would definately come back again, next time for pleasure!
If you've ever traveled to Vail before, you won't recognize Lionshead now that the Arrabelle is completed and open for business. The former 70's era buildings have been replaced with a spectacular hotel and retail area with an Austrian feel. The staff was welcoming and genuine, the room was ultra comfortable, the bed was amazing and the bathroom was filled with L'Occitane products! I was worried because there was no coffee pot in my room until I discovered that my personal concierge would bring me a fresh pot of coffee in the morning. The restaurant, Centre V, was great for both breakfast and dinner. I didn't get a chance to enjoy the spa but it looks incredible. I would definitely recommend that you spoil yourself and stay at Arrabelle. Oh - and most importantly, the hotel is just steps away from the gondola.
It is beautiful and well appointed. The valet staff is exceptional. The valets will give you a ride in brand new Volvo SUVs and they will pick you back up when you're ready. This comes in very handy since many of the restuarants that are open in the off season are located in the Vail Village. The rooms are beautiful and ours had a large heated terrace-type balcony. The fireplace in the rooms was also a great feature. The bathrooms are beautiful and have heated marble floors. The showers are on the small side, though. The personal conceirge service is very nice. They are willing to help with whatever you might need or desire. We were impressed with the housekeeping service. We're sticklers for a clean hotel room and our room was always very clean. Housekeeping comes in the morning and also in the evening to do a turndown service. As part of the turndown service there were a few nights that the personal conciege brought by a little treat (petit fours one night, milk and cookies another night). We didn't get something every night, so I don't know if they just missed us or if it is a sporadic thing they do. The spa was to die for! It was the most beautiful spa I've been to and it was wonderfully relaxing. Our only complaint was the construction going on all around the hotel. Reservations didn't tell us about it and I had specifically asked. We were awoken every morning at 7 a.m. to a bulldozer outside our room. Not the relaxation I was looking for! The hotel said they couldn't move us so they ended up giving us a very nice consolation after a couple of conversations with them. Overall the hotel was terrific.
The Arabelle was absolutely perfect from the rooms to the service to the food to the accommodations, and everything in between that I forgot to mention. Really and truly though, everything was absolutely perfect, enough said.
