The Polynesian-style Holiday Inn Sunspree is located on the Gulf of Mexico, approximately half a mile from Shipwreck Island Water Park and 10 miles from Panama City International Airport. This location is also two miles from Zoo World and Club La Vela, three miles from Pier Park, four miles from Gulf World Marine Park, and 10 miles from Panama City Mall. This hotel is a great place to stay with kids. They have activities for the kids to do through out the day. In the evening time they show a movie by the pool on a big screen you can swim and watch or set on the pool deck. They have a lot of security people always walking around. Adults and children have to wear a bracelet at all times (showing that they are staying there). When coming back in from the ocean the security guard will ask to see it to let you back to the hotel area. It is a safe place to stay. While there the beach was closed for three days due to the currents and they still had things to do to keep them busy at the hotel. Will be staying again!!!!
This was an awesome trip, from the time we arrived till the time we departed we were treated like family. The Hotel was in great shape, the pools were excellent, and for anyone with kids the aqua land is the best idea I have ever seen at a motel. The staff was very courteous and prompt and would go out of there way to help you. I love the dancing at night and the movies on the big screen. There were live bands playing all the favorite beach music. There is so much to do at this motel you find your self not wanting to leave. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyong traveling to this area. Johnny

WOW!! We stayed in Panama City Beach at the Holiday Inn Sunspree and the hotel is fabulous. With two kids and my husband there was entertainment for all of us. The kids loved their waterpark that is part of the resort. No extra fees as some I have seen. The activities staff did a fantastic job with the kids program, I am very pleased that they had so much going on. Also live poolside music everyday of our stay which was my favorte part. Our kids ate free and the convenience of a full size refridgerator in the room saved us lots of money on food. Beachfront rooms with the most amazing views of the ocean, it was incredible. Furniture in the rooms needs to be updated but room was very clean and the entire staff was extremely friendly. We will be back and willl tell others about this place!
What a great time. This is not a stuck up classy 5 star hotel. this is the perfect place for families or average vactioner to go to relax, have great views, and plenty to do. Staff was amazing, make sure to see cindy the bartender and ask for the angry pirate. hotel is right on the beach, huge pool plenty of chairs. famiies, and partiers can coexist at ease. would recomend to anyone.........
I travelled with 2 teenage girls for spring break. I was not prepared for the decibel level of the music that blared from morning 'til night. The hotel had excellent security all over the place - They were checking wristbands so that only hotel guests could use the facilities.The staff was very helpful with my internet connection - which was very good by the way - However, my cell phone reception was horrible!! No reception in our room or on the balcony. I couldn't use the phone by the pool because the music was so loud. My daughter couldn't hear her phone ringing on the beach either because the music on the beach was so loud.Be prepared for sand EVERYWHERE!
