We stayed at Casa Morada last week and would venture to say that it is one of our favorite hotels...ever! We were wary that we did not have an ocean view room, but the lush garden walk, and the privacy provided by the gardens, are worth it. I would recommend a garden view room in the future, very quiet. The hot tub on the porch was beautiful. Free water bottles is a nice touch, you don't feel like they are trying to get more out of you. They clean the room twice a day - useful when you never leave the property! Continental Breakfast, which was included, was a delight. Wildlife on the lush property was an added treat. Everyone on the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The only problem was that we did not want to leave and see the rest of the island - highly recommended!
This older property has been reborn as a chic boutique hotel. Staff and environment is wonderful, rooms very nicely done. Breakfast included, as is bottled water and snacks, kayaks, yoga. Great sunsets, bar, hammocks. For laid-back getting away from it all, you won't find a better hotel. We would stay here again in a blink -- in fact, are already planning it!
