We paid for a view of the pool and got a view of the parking lot. No refrigerator in room despite website listing it as an amenity. However, staff was courteous and pool area was very nice.
This Comfort Inn was a nice hotel and a great price. Their location to "old town" where everything is happening was not ideal. The map that I looked at before booking the hotel was deceiving. Consequently we spent a LOT of money in taxi cabs going between "old town" and "new town" where the hotel was located. If I had it to do again after spending so much money on taxi's I would have paid more for a hotel that was walking distance to Duval St. and other fun things. This hotel would be perfect for a family that didn't want to be in the middle of "old town" and needed some place a bit quieter. They have a really nice pool and a nice outdoor patio with tables and chairs. The hotel staff was very accommodating, the rooms were clean, AND they come with refrigerators so you can keep cold drinks since it's so hot and humid there.
This is a good solid hotel, good value for the money. Excellent Continental breakfast-great fresh brewed coffee! Hotel was clean, rooms were large, pool had a large area for guests, comfortable lounge chairs. Overall a decent place to stay!
Upon arrival phone, clock, and bedside lamp was not plugged in. Internet kept disconnecting. Breakfast area was not clean. Puddles of water from room air conditoners on walkways posed a serious safety issue. Upon depature the desk clerk could not communicate effectively nor explain some of the charges on our bill. Asked for supervisor who was busy with a baby in a carriage behind front desk of hotel lobby.
This is the worst Comfort hotel that I have ever been and the most expensive. The breakfast was poor quality and variety. We booked this hotel because my friends and I have been in other Comfort hotels, they recommend me to book a Comfort because Comforts in other locations are not very expensive and the quality is great, but this one in Key West is, with no doubt, the worst. The staff was nice though.
Very nice older hotel located away from the tourist area. Reasonably priced Room was big and nicely furnished. Large heated (& yes it was) pool with available towels so you won?t have to bring your own. Computer with Internet access is located in lobby available for guest usage (when it?s not being hogged by some kid). Continental breakfast had the standard items (coffee, juice, milk, cereal, bread, pastries, hard boiled eggs, etc) and you can make your own waffles. Phone did not work; this is something to check on before you get settled in your room.
