Wow - SO perfect!!
Not sure how anyone can fault this hotel, unless they simply don't understand what they're booking?!! The Delano is a very stylish (and unique!...
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Delano for her b-day.Our room was a bit smaller than I expected and not all that modern.I was waiting at the front desk to complain about the mold in the shower and the broken shelf in the bathroom.Obviously the bellboy(X who was great!)saw the look of disgust on my face and came to the rescue.I told him of my complaints and he took the bull by the horns and saw that we were upgraded to a bigger room with a 32 inch flat screen tv.Service at this hotel is exceptional and I would definately give them my business in the future.
This is the WORST hotel I have stayed at in my 25+ years traveling. The staff couldn't care less, rooms are small with lack of typical services found in **+ per night hotels (flat screen plasma tv, CD players, seperate tub and shower in bathrooms ect...) We actually were told that we could not sit in one of the chairs by the pool because it was ""reserved""...Never in my life will I stay at this PLACE again!
THE STAFF!!! They seems to think THEY are "The Guest" and you, the "Real Guest" are somebody that disturb them... Especially at the pool and at the bar. Staff are good looking but not professionnal. Kind of, they are disapopinted if you dont give a * tip for one drink at the bar and make you feel cheap.. It's a beautifull hotel by STARCK but now this hotel need a refresh and breif the STAFF that they are not Philippe Starck!!! Very bad feeling during the stay at * a night for a small room. No real class, arrogant!
The pool, garden and lobby are beautiful. Our room however was dingy, bordering on dirty. It was loud at night. The hotel seemed severely understaffed. The pool closed too early. After dark the hotel stops catering to its guests and starts catering to a certain element that come to get picked-up. The restaurant staff offered great service, but the staff around the beach and the pool seemed to exist solely for the purpose of telling you what you couldn't do or get!
