We came to this hotel as a package deal from travel website. When we looked for a quick vaction getaway, we wanted something that would be rated at least at 4 stars or above. The Fairmont really was an elegant and tasteful resort. The rooms were spacious, immaculate and beautiful. The staff was courteous and friendly. We loved the lagoon pool the best! Poolside there were round mattresses with an adjustable awning that was extremely comfortable! Some people opted to rent out the *- cabanas that were equipped with ceiling fan, flat screen tv and changing room. We also enjoyed the lazy river and water slides. We had a wonderful time, and can't wait to go back.
Arrive 7-4, asked front desk for an ethernet cable, one missing from hotel- never received it noticed small blood spot on pillow case- asked for it to be changed- never was coffee spoons were used, coffee pot was dirty no additional coffee the next day, no towels the next day, dirty toilet light switches, maid never cleaned spa tub. Beautiful hotel, great food, but the room left me with a little dissappointment. Also, I have contacted the hotel, they were sending a survey via email and regular mail, no email to date. this should be a four star hotel, not a five
The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club is an outstanding place to vacation with family and friends. The new pool area with lazy river and water slide was a very nice touch. The ocean club, right on the beach, has volleyball, jet ski, and many other fun activities. The tennis facilities are brand new and very well-kept. Although I didn't golf during the stay, the courses look beautiful. The price for the room is very reasonable, the food is quite pricey..but not more than one would expect to pay at any high-end resort.
This resort is a piece of paradise in North Miami Beach. The location is fantastic with Aventura mall (Bloomies, Nordstroms, Macys, etc) within walking distance, a private beach club in beautiful Sunny Isles and the most lush spa and golf course I've ever seen. Traveling with my family was a pure joy at this resort... the men all played golf, the women spa'd at Willow Stream (the best hot stone massage I ever had) and the kids played at the brand new Laguna Pool with a very cool Lazy River Ride and 4-story slide. The pool area should be mentioned even more since it provides sunbathers with individual and couple lounges and lots of umbrellas for coverage as well as a bar and grill. There is another pool that was also lovely but would be more suited for adults. The guest rooms were large, elegantly furnished with the finest amenities including french press in-room coffee to deluxe toiletries to their huge bathrooms with soaker tub and jets. My whole family raved about the bedding! I think the most incredible part of our trip was just being surrounded by such beauty and elegance. The landscaping, koi ponds and fountains were all breathtaking! The golf and pool views were equally as beautiful.... all this plus a private beach club... it is just the perfect vacation place! Great job Fairmont! Dining was also incredible with Bourbon Steak and their breakfast buffet.
Stayed for four nights with my family and the facility is very nice. It is under construction, but not terribly so. Some of the older parts of the resort are a bit tired, but on balance this is a very nice place. The staff is very friendly, but for a hotel of this class I would say it is very weak (I have stayed in many top hotels all over the world). Examples - housekeeping knocks on the door at 8:30 AM new year's day, I waited 2 hours to have golf clubs pulled from the turnk of my car, waited 10 minutes for someone to take a drink order in the lobby bar, tables poolside take over 5 minutes to clear between parties, buffets were not set properly, etc. May sound small, but when the hotel is positioned as top notch, these things should not happen. On the positive side, the staff are all very friendly - more so than most places I have stayed - the room was spacious and nicely appointed, food was pretty good and the atmosphere is generally very nice. When we checked in someone was checking out and complaining - wanting a manager, etc. - and it was one of those moments you think "wow, what a PITA that person is". Staff checking the person out handled it beautifully. When I checked out, I almost had the same set of gripes, but kept my mouth closed and was happy to be headed home.
