We reserved 2 rooms in November of 2007 for April of 2008. We arrived at 12:45 and 1 of the rooms was ready and the other 'would be ready in 20 minutes'. At 4:30, the other room was still not ready even though regular check-in is 4PM. We finally got the second room at 5:45. It did not have a balcony, even though that is what we paid for. The manager could not (or would not) do anything for us. She even said she would totally understand if we went to a different hotel. Unbelievable! I would not stay here again.
I attended a conference and stayed at this hotel. It is beautiful, well maintained, very clean, and has great customer service. The room was large and comfortable with adequate desk and working space for business travelers. The fitness center has a variety of updated equipment and machines, and there is no additional cost (unlike many hotels of this caliber). There are a few restaurants as well as room service, so dining is convenient if you choose not to leave the hotel. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend this hotel to travelers on vacation or business travel.
Stayed on night on business. Great hotel. Clean, stylish, upscale, with incredibly comfy beds. Ate at one of the hotel's restaurants (not the facy one) and the food was quite good.
Location of hotel is Great! Trolley stop across the street. Minutes away from aquarium and Channelside shops. Hotel has Starbucks, Spa and wonderful fitness center. Great beds. Awesome Stay!
I took the Bar Exam in Feb 06 and I had a nice experience at this hotel. The window views are beautiful, the gym is 10 times better than any other hotel, the service is excellent, the rooms are modern and cozy. Each room has a super good shower head located in an elegant bathroom. Very modern luxurious hotel that I think it is worth paying the extra money for if you like the good life. I felt super comfortable and satisfied. Whenever I have to go to Tampa again I am definitely staying at the Marriott Waterside. I feel like a million bucks when I stay there.
