Great service, good location, very affordable (about $65 for us), clean rooms, comfortable sleep, wonderful selection of breakfast, AAA discount available,...
Boy, I screwed up on this one. Paid way too much. This place needs a major rehab, especially the filthy carpet! Front desk people were very nice.
I have stayed here many times when I have needed to go to Tampa General. I am anxious to see how their renevations are going. The rooms as is are a bit dated and the bathrooms definatly could use some updating. But for the money & convience it is overall very good for my needs. I have never encountered people mulling about outside and do feel safe there.
My room was clean, the bed was good and I felt my car was safe in the parking lot. For an economy rate in the business district of a large city, this place was a pleasant surprise.
Location was good. Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Two days of spraying with Febreeze helped. Room was surprisingly well furnished. Toilet needed multiple flushes which was annoying.
Do Not Stay Here! We arrived after dark at this hotel and were given our key through a slit in the bulletproof glass like you see in drive-throughs in VERY bad neighborhoods. On our way to our room, a man who was staying in the room next to us showed me his gun and told us this area was not safe for our 'type' (my girlfriend and I are white uper/middle class dressed rather nicely after being out that night). The nice man with the gun told us to go straight to our room and lock the door, he said we should not be out in this area of town after dark.
I enjoyed my stay. it was quiet anad staff was helpful and friendly. I recommend it./
