The Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is located on 22 acres of pristine Florida Waterfront overlooking Tampa Bay, in the quaint Historic town of Safety Harbor. It is less than 20 minutes from both Tampa and St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airports, within walking distance to downtown Safety Harbor shops and restaurants, and only eight miles from Clearwater Beach. The hotel amenities include the 50,000 square foot Aveda Sanctuary Spa which features a fitness center, sauna, steam rooms, whirlpools, two outdoor and one indoor pool, and fitness classes. It also features restaurants, Tiki Bar, nine Tennis Courts (7 clay and 2 hard), golf practice range and instruction, and 30,000 square feet of meeting space with amphitheater. It also offers more then 60 spa and salon treatments, with fitness and nutritional service offered.The Spa Espirito mineral springs produce close to two million gallons of water monthly and serve as the exclusive source providing refreshing spring water to all guests. Each of the 175 newly renovated guest rooms provide pillow-top Serta Perfect Sleepers layered with luxurious 300-thread count linens and duvets. New lighting and amenities in the bath and dressing room areas offer guests added comfort, while marble and granite surfaces create a contemporary look and feel. Many of the guest rooms feature balconies or patios, outfitted with comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy the tranquil views of Tampa Bay, the recreational pool or the lush garden. Other guest room amenities include Aveda Bath & Skin Care Products, complimentary wireless Internet access, complimentary natural mineral spring water, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, dual-line telephone with voice mail and data port, premium cable TV with On-Demand movies and in-room dining.

This place is a true "diamond in the rough"!! My sister-in-law and I came here for some much needed R&R and pampering. That is exactly what we got! The weather, rooms, spa facility and pool were excellent! The service was great! I guess the only complaint we have is that we wanted to stay longer. If you are looking for some down time with no kids, this is the place for you. Be sure to check-out the local restauants in the downtown area, which are within walking distance. If you want to head to Clearwater beach its about a 20 minute drive. We are planning on going back soon!!
My sister and I went just for a long weekend and have a wonderful time here. The location was very nice. This is a great place to relax. Only 20 minutes from Clearwater beach and the same to Tampa Airport. I will plan another visit next year. The one and only complaint I have is that I wish they would play some music at the tiki bar at the pool. Our massage and facial was also wonderful. Staff was so friendly.

Here in the area to research historical sites, I combined with vacation and found the most perfect place. This resort is uncrowded, unhurried... I felt pampered in every way. The facilities are clean, relaxing and easy to enjoy. Staff is helpful & friendly without exeption.I never felt like I was just someone to "make a buck off" and same goes for the whole town.The stay in a resort full of natural spring water treatments is an exceptional deal, refurbished rooms lovely....everything great!
Enjoyed our visit. The hotel rooms were recently renovated. Still renovating the hotel. We stayed on the 6th floor tower and the king room with balcony was very large, quiet and clean. The bed was heavenly. Long walk from the parking lot to the room. The room overlooked the tennis courts and had a wide view of the bay. It was a beautiful view at night. Will definitely stay there again.
