The Front desk service was terrible. There was only one agent at the front, and I waited 42 min to even be acknowledged. Then my room wasn't ready, and my son had to sleep in a cot, because the room with two beds was not ready. I was told I would be comped a free breakfast, but that never happened. All metal was rusted out (lamp shades, A/C, door knobs, etc). The only good thing was the pool. Two pools, lots of places to sit. For the price, I could have stayed anywhere else and had a much better room. I will never stay here again!!!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The resort was beautiful, and so quiet. The beaches were beautiful, food was good but expensive. Staff was great-friendly and helpfull. I had a massage at the spa and it was wonderful. Our room was clean and the balcony was so nice to watch the sunset. Rent a car to see the sites. We went to Wakakiki one day and couldn't wait to get back to Turtle Bay. Saw several sea turtles, geckos, and a mongoose. Try Kono's in halievea for breakfast, and Rosie's Cantina for great mexican food. Also Lei lei's restaurant behind the golf shop was great for dinner. For souvieners we went left out of the Resort and about 4 miles up the road are 3 little shops, great prices and lots to choose from. Loved this vacation- will go back.
My husband and I really loved this hotel. I am so paranoid about cleanliness in hotels so we were really nervous about booking online. But it is a very clean hotel and the housekeeping staff did a perfect job. They even left cookies and chocolates on our pillows on some nights. The pools are really great too; one has a waterfall and a slide. The ocean is right by the hotel and it is very calm (at least when we went in May) because it is kind of blocked by some coral and rocks. But there are plenty of beaches close by with big waves that we drove to. My advice would be to bring plenty of money. The hotel breakfast buffet cost us 60 each morning with tip. The restaurants on the resort are very expensive and Waikiki and Honolulu are about an hour away. We spent a lot of money on gas and food, because we didn't want to stay and eat at the resort everyday. Also, they automatically charge you 400 dollars on a credit card for incidental charges, so make sure you bring a credit card with that amount available. (We didn't end up with any charges though). They don't really give you anything free either. The bottled water is 3.50 in your hotel room and if you forget to return your towel card at the end of your stay, it's 25. And finally, plan to valet each night for 10 unless you want to walk for a mile to the public parking. Overall, this was a great hotel with tasty restaurant selctions, beautiful views, and very clean rooms. But everything is very expensive. However, we would stay again.
scuba lesson twice a week.snokeling surfing in bay horse stables equipment free beautiful view from room.town close by with all fast food we have here.get a car and see all of island.walmart 20 minutes away.I am not one to pay this much for a room but it was well worth every penny. You need a wetsuit if you want to spend lots of time in the water.
excellent front desk staff- upgraded room at no charge, did not eat there it was a bit pricey but lots to eat all over island, great secluded location, the house keeping lady was superb, clean and well manicured grounds, easy to find. I would stay before i would @ the waikiki area. Will stay here again.
I would say that this hotel is not bad. Rooms are clean. Beds are great! A good thing about this hotel is that it is quiet. There are few major problems. First - food. I was there with my husband and both of us were sick each time we ate in any place in hotel. What made it worse - price! Hotel is situated far from Waikiki. And there is no food nearby except restaurants in the hotel. Thus prices are crazy, quality is poor. Also, as the hotel is far from the airoport, you'll need a car. There is a shutle from the airoport to the hotel, however, as we found out, you have to call the hotel and order it ahaed. And the price is 148 per person one way!If you want to go from the hotel to Waikiki, it will take you about an hour and a half. There are nice beaches not far from the hotel, however, it is difficult to find a parking near by.Once we visited spa. I had coconat manicur and my husband had a manicur and a massage. Manicurs had nothing in common with manicurs except the title. And again price... 65 for basicly hand crem... we both were not satisfied. However, my husband was excited about the massage! I would say that this place looks good for families with children! Easpecialy, concidering, that there are a lot such families and children can play together! Also there are two swimming pools and two hot tubs. All of these are good for children.
