I've always heard of the Grand Wailea from friends but this was my first time. The resort definiltey lived up to my expecations. Definitely treat yourself to a spa treatment at the Grand Wailea Spa which includes an hour of hydrotherapy before the service. I dipped in and out of the baths, showers and hot tubs and was already fully relaxed prior to my massage. After your treatment, relax even more on the lanai overlooking the beach. I felt truly pampered!

Really quick trip as I was island hopping and this was a splurge at the last minute. Loved the pool, facilities and the most incredible spa experience! I could have spent hours in the spa, wished I would have had even more time!

Our room wasnt available when we checked in and that seemed to be a common problem as you would often see groups of tired hot families sitting in the lobby unable to do anything till the room was ready and they could change. I liked all the restaurants , especially Humunukunukuauipua. the pool area is great fun, which is good as there isnt alot to do if you dont snorkle or fish. I was dissapointed in the cleaning staff, the bathroom was never really cleaned well. And there was alot of mold in the shower which is a personal pet peeve of mine at hotels. We had dinner twice next door at the Four Seasons and it was awfully nice. the childrens club is fun, but nothing special from what I could see, or the feedback from my child. Dont think it would be my first choice if going back to Maui.

i just returned from the hotel. It was recommended when we said we were going to Maui. It is overpriced and there are a lot of hidden cost. Be prepared for that. They charge daily fee of * for housekeeping. Our room was cleaned 1 day that I was aware of. The other days they just swapped the towels. I was told they cleaned two times a day for the daily fee we were charged. There is also a 10 dollar per person portage fee for carrying your bags (and of course you have to tip too). Our room was not ready so we had to take our bags to someone else's room until it was ready and we carted our own bags to our room. We also loaded them ourselves when we checked out. Make ure you rent a car so you can eat off the premises. The restaurants at he hotel are very pricey. It will pay for itself on what you save on meals. Bring your own drinks. You can get a mini fridge for * during your stay. The rooms are very standard. I stayed for a good rate with a group but some in our group paid the higher group rate and had the same room as me. The grounds are very nice and we enoyed the pool and the beach. Be prepared to spend a lot of money.

Very nice location, beautiful grounds/surroundings, too many children, way over priced. A room at *+/night with another */day resort charge (amungst other added charges like */day parking). We paid * for two Vodka and Tonics at the swim up bar/including the * tip. The area is great, we were at the Fairmont Kelani for our Honeymoon (just down the street) 5 years ago. They had no vacancies this time so we booked the Grand Wailea. It was really nice, could use some minor updates, but wow, everything you do/eat/drink/rentals at pool or beach side, be prepared to drop major green backs. It was nice for our purpose, but we could not afford to return.

We stayed here for a great deal due to HH points. If it weren't for that, I don't think I would pay the going rate of * per night for a ocean view room! The room was nice and big with a great bathroom, but for that amount of money I would expect more updated carpets, wallpaper, and bedding. The pools are great and my baby loved the baby beach. As expected, everything is pricey but 10 for a kids grilled cheese sandwich is ridiculous. I would only stay here again if I got another great deal.
