The hotel was about what we thought it would be based on the information provided on the travelocity web site, so we were not at all disappointed. We had a two bedroom unit that was very spacious. We were fortunate to get a bottom unit that worked great for the kids. They could step out to the beach and we could watch them from the lania. The pool area was o.k. with a great view of the ocean . They had 4 very nice gas grills within the pool area, so I could grill dinner while the kids swam. The hotel is not the fanciest, but for the price it was very nice. The ocean front view and being so close to the water was the best part. You had the sunset every evening with the sound of the wave was just great. Talking to several people that stay here on a yearly basis, they say that they have yet to find a place that is as good of a deal as the Mahana is. The main negative that I had was that the water right in front of the hotel is not really good for swim or play. Its real reefy and rough. But if you take a short walk either way up/down the beach, there are good spots for water activity. Definitely go to Costco or even Safeway in Lahiana to shop for food. The Star Market across the street is way over priced and eating out nightly will cost a small fortune. We were very pleaed with our stay and will more than likey stay there again.
Excellent Condo's in a resort setting. All have an ocean front view. Just a bit windy by the pool.
Location was great. Views were awesome. The condo we stayed in was clean but very outdated and needed new carpet. Would not stay in same condo but would definitely return with ability to preview condo first. Staff kept promising to move us but it never happened.
This place was awesome! My girlfriend and I had the best time here! We had a studio and you can literally through a stone to the ocean. The sunsets where phenomenal and we could see whales from the lanai as well. The hotel met and exceeded our standards!
The hotel was great. Clean room, Clean sheets, and an in room washer & dryer. You cannot go into the water directly in front of the hotel, because of a coral reef there. So you have to go 100 feet either way down the beach and then swim over to the reef,There is no resturant at the hotel, but their are resturants and a grocery store across the street. This is not a resort type hotel but were it's located you don't need it. It's really easy to get in ond out of. We will definatly stay here again.
The condo was absolutely beautiful - much better than we had even hoped. We got upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom on the 4th floor and the view was magnificent. We saw and heard the ocean and palm trees from the bedroom, the lanai and the lving room and the sunsets were awesome. The only negatives were there was no bathtub, but there was a huge, beautifully tiled shower stall. There was no jacuzzi/hot tub and the pool was totally shut down on our first day for "unexpected cleaning. The TV's didn't work properly but maintanence fixed them the day after we checked in. All in all it definitely was a good value and I would recommend it and good back if we return to Maui.
