We stayed ten days at Halekulani. Our intention was to Island hop while keeping the hotel as a basel. We had such a good time at the hotel and the surrounding area as well as the whole of Oahu we decided to forego the other Islands on this trip. The hotel is maintained in spotless condition. The staff is honestly gracious and friendly. Service is perfect. The food great. Activities abound and if not local will be arranged for you. Security is visible and professional and not "In your face". The newly renovated Lewers Road is packed with new retail and restaurants worth a visit. High end as well as economy minded gifts are a short walk away. The price of these accomodations is justified. We will return to this hotel, they have spoiled us.
the staff know us by our last names and they are very friendly and professional. Ture aloha spirit. When I asked for hot water the first day, the second day they gave me an electric pot so that I can hot water anytime. Excellent in attending to details and very sensitive to guess' needs. It's pricy, but you will feel like a king staying there. Excellent location but not noisy. The room is spacious and the amenities are top of the class. I even ran into a few movie stars there.
I went to Hawaii for business, my stay at the Halekulani made it a vacation. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We plan on giong back for a real vacation.
Located in the middle of an upscale shopping district, sort of tucked away. You are escorted to your room, where you are checked in and given a description of all the amenities, including the electronic bidet (sp?). We stayed in one of the Diamond Head ocean view suites. One balcony had a view of their oft photographed pool, the other had a spectacular ocean view. Waiting in the room for us was some fruit and chocolate. Upon check in, it was found out that we were on our honeymoon. Soon after that, a complementary bottle of champagne was brought up. The amenities in the room were nice. The shower was spacious with lots of room for a honeymooning couple. The tub was clean and spacious as well. There was a programmable safe, complementary bottled water, nice robes, bath salts and toothbrushes provided. The pool is nice, the towel service was great. There are no private beaches in hawaii, so the beaches don't feel exclusive to the hotel, however, the beach was easily accessed. There are some stores in the hotel (vera wang) and restaurants. The Orchid restaurant over looks the beach, again, since there are no private beaches, there is a walkway between you and the beach, so there is a stream of people that walk withing 20 feet of your table, but not too bad. The Orchid was uninspiring for the price, nothing fancy or to die for. The service was great. Did not eat at La Mer. The breakfast buffets at House without a key were great. Overall, the service and location are the best parts about Halekulani. Would definately stay here again, but maybe not in the diamond head suite since it's kind of pricey. We felt like celebrities.
Impressive grounds w/ wonderful staff & service. Fantastic pool & royal treatment at pool. Lovely rooms w/views and 24 hr. service! Restaurants should all be rated 5 Stars. Impeccable service and very friendly staff. Lovely Spa. Activities for kids and knowledgeable Concierge. Front desk staff extremely helpful. Quality, resort ""living"" w/turn down service. Loved the semi-private beach. All ages can be impressed and entertained. Grounds are impeccable. Highly recommended for first class service and amenities all around. Employees are on their J.O.B. Wonderful, relaxing experience!
The Halekulani is truly an oasis in the middle of Waikiki. The property is the perfect size - allowing for relative anonymity but not being overwhelming. The serivice rivals any 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in and the environment is just beautiful. The little extra touches like nightly turndown gifts and checking in in your room make it a first class experience.
True to it's name, this "House Befitting Heaven" is a tranquil oasis among the frenzy of Waikiki Beach.
Modern and exclusive, this posh hotel offers the ultimate in privacy and pampering. Upon entering the grand lobby, you'll instantly
