Nice hotel
We stayed at this hotel for 1 week, it was clean and had the best beds I have slept on in any hotel, no matter the price! The breakfast on the ...
This was our first trip to Hawaii with a family of three (two adults and a college student). THE GOOD: The room was livable and not "very small." The flat-screen television was nice as well as the small fridge. We also were relatively satisfied with the "Breakfast on the Beach." Don't expect a lot of variation or a lot of content, but free food is always welcomed. The hotel's location is good, as it is close to the beach. But, let us warn you, the beach is extremely rocky. Water shoes are a must, as you will tear your feet to pieces without them. The hotel was also close to the zoo and is on the Waikiki main strip. Everything is pretty much in walking distance. THE BAD: From check-in, we were annoyed to find we were going to be charged for a roll-away bed (35/day). Since we had three people in our room, we complained and ended up getting it for free. We also were shocked to find you had to pay to use the safe in your room. So we bought a one-day use and found that it still worked the rest of our stay (so we used it for free). THE "OK": The noise in the hotel (especially at night) is rather annoying. I am not a light sleeper, but between the hotel's creaking and sound from other rooms, I spent a few early mornings awake. The bathroom drains kept making noise late at night and we woke up a few nights to find the bathtub filled with water and bubbles. We weren't sure why... The gym: pretty small and just treadmills/ellipticals. Bottom line: Good value for money, but if you want upscale, look elsewhere. We will try a new place next visit.
I reviewed quite a few hotels within this price range and beach locationbefore our trip. This was by far the best. Even after visiting, we looked at a couple of our other options for possibly another trip and I am still very satisfied with our choice of hotel. Compared to other hotels for the same price point, we got free breakfast every morning, got a free night after x number of nights, could take breakfast to the beach with us and got upgraded from a partial ocean view to an ocean view because one of us was 50+ in age (and they actually had one available). The room was wonderful even though the upgraded room was 2 double beds instead of 1 King. That's ok -- one to lounge and read on and one to sleep on! The lanai opened to a most gorgeous view of the ocean, which by the way is just across the street (no buildings in between). We not only hiked Diamond Head, but hiked to Diamond Head from the hotel (only about 1/2 hour walk). You also get an awesome view of Diamond Head from the hotel. Shuttles to anything and everything are all around. We ate at many great restaurants all within walking distance. Shoot! You';re in Waikiki! Nearly everything is within walking distance. I especially liked the decor of the hotel compared to some others within the same price point. Some were very nice, just a bit too formal and older looking. Given the opportunity, I'd definitely pick this hotel again!
Overall, the experience at the Resort Quest Waikiki was very positive. Nice Staff, and clean. The beach is across the street. Good for the young, a bit challenging for the elderly. Hawaii, Waikiki and the Northshore is absolutely beautiful.
What a beatiful view from our Ocean View lanai especially for July 4th fireworks. Walking distance to many Waikiki locations. Very clean, slept great on very comfortable beds, and the free breakfast each morning was very good. Would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price.
My daughter and I vacationed at the ResortQuest Waikiki for six days and wish we could have stayed longer. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was everything we expected and more. Our ocean view room was on the Diamond Head side of the hotel, so our view was awesome. The room was clean, beds were great, and we were never disturbed by noise at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly, epecially at check-in. The Breakfast-on-the-Beach was great for a family, many choices of breakfast foods and included in the package price . We enjoyed eating by the pool and a couple of mornings right at the beach. The location of the hotel was very convenient, across from the beach, close to tourist attractions, resturants and shopping. We felt safe walking in the area and took advantage of the public transportation as well. This was a wonderful vacation for us and we would certainly stay at the ResortQuest again in the future.
Great Hotel!!!! Location is right on the Beach! Rooms are very clean & comfortable, Big Flat Screen TV, maid service is outstanding quick & clean. We traveled with 2 small kids & this hotel is very kid freindly with free daily activities. The free breakfast on the beach is held at pool side & the food is really tasty & great variety, saves you alot of on food. We stayed on the 17th floor & it is very quiet at night, recommend staying on the higher floors if you want to get away from the city noise. All trolley's stop for a pick-up / drop off right in front of the hotel which is extremely convenient if you want to sight see / shopping!!! Hotel is great for Family as well as Couples wanting to get away. Looking forward to staying their Again!!!
