Really enjoyed the experience from the moment I stepped into the hotel, It smelled wonderful. They let me check in way earlier and asked me to get some breakfast before they picked up their free continental breakfast for the day. particularly enjoyed the fact that they had a pool that was well kept with an exercise facility. Wireless interntet was available throughout the hotel and they also received faxes and sent a couple of my faxes for free. They had a business area where I Could print up my directions. Housekeeping did a good job of not disturbing my kids and came back when we asked them to and they did a great job. I was very impressed expecially because they were the lowest in town and I dont think I would have gotten a better service at any other nearby hotel. I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely go back if I was in that area agian.
When I went to check into this hotel the front desk agent, didn't have any idea about my reservation. Then he gave me my key to my room, as he took my id and credit card, he said it would be about 10 min then he would come up to my room to have me sign the paperwork, since he said he needed to do the Night Audit, before he checked me in. I was very uncomfortable about doing this, but it was about 20-25 min later when he finally came to my door with the paperwork and gave me back my id and card. The room when I got in it was like 30 degrees, I was FREEZING instantly, and turned on the heat, as high as it could go, and jumped into bed and got under the covers, but was cold all night, so I didn't sleep very well. The beds are old and are worn, you can tell the mattresses need to be replaced, mine was very sunken in, in the middle of the bed, and the pillows could definately also be upgraded they were flat and no support and or comfort. I do work at a hotel, not going to mention the name and I would've rather gotten our employee discount card and made a reservation to stay at one of the hotels in our chain, however that has to be done in advance through a manager, so i was unable to do that and that is why I chose this hotel, not bad, but not recommended unless you are just going to sleep and leaving in the morning, and don't really care about the room and or how the hotel is.
Hotel is near the I-55(easy on/off), the rooms are spacious, cleans, and comfortable. The wireless internet is a good feature as well. The breakfast is good enough for the price, but they don't have any hot food items. the staff was nice and helpful and directed us to some nice restaurants, and there's a Brunswick next door. Overall, a very nice stay
