This hotel looks good at 1st sight, but it is not what it appears to be. The sheets were smelly as if a construction worker had just slept on them after getting off work!!! We asked for 2 rooms and they gave us one on one floor and another 5 floors up. We used an on line booking and was told that we may or may not get the rooms. They would not allow us to check in early( check in is at 3pm) and we were supposedly guarenteed check in then, we checked in at nearly 5pm. Compensation for all of this shabby treatment? Four drinks at the bar!! Never again W.
Convenient location for vacation. Easy access to museums with great Chicago transit system. Close to Navy Pier and Magnificient mile shopping. Great friendly staff, very helpful with directions and suggestions to make my vacation better. I am going back
My wife and I stayed here on our anniversary and we were quite surprised at the "strange decor." I would describe it as Vampire Sheik. Everything is very dark (literally no light) and decorated in black, purple and gray. Strange club music playing everywhere (lobby, hallway, elevators). Our room was very small. The bathroom was tiny. A normal person could not sit on the toilet without resting half of their body on the sink. In spite of the above mentioned oddities, the hotel was very clean and service was good. If you are young and into the music scene, or art deco stuff, you will like this hotel. If you are more traditional and like luxury when you stay at a 4 star hotel, you are better off staying somewhere else.
I am not a large person 5'8"" and I could not fit into the toliet, very uncomfortable, I had to sit sideways...in a 4-5star hotel....the rest of the room was fine and the service was very good.....
The beds are great and the rooms small but who goes to Chicago to hang in a room. Well appointed but be aware that the hotel is located in the financial district and some to the stores in the immediate vicinity were closed. Close to transportation. Serve was great. I would stay there again.
It is a month later my deposit was never credited to my folio. The room was less then small The temperature could not be seen since it was hidden behind the television cabinet, half eaten cashews left in the room Additional charges appeared on bill. Bath tub drain backing up with water to shin, when I called hotel operator, she knew situation and the problem was never taken care, for the five days I stay.. This is as unprofessional, and apathetic management team. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere,
