Decided to do valet at because it was unlimited in/out. Arrived early between 9and10 am. Check in was fast and room was ready. Lobby was beautiful and huge. Room was a little bigger than others traveling with us but found out later that it was right next to elevators and heard all 4 going up/down all night. View of river/skyline/navy pier. We went to the taste so weren't in our rooms much. Great location. We walked everywhere. I called for a rollaway and they do not alllow them in rooms with 2 beds. My son stayed with his aunt in her king room. Have to pay for internet. Water in room was . Went to ChiBar on Sat. Limited menu with no prices. Cost us for 6 drinks without tip. Wanted a choc. or coffee martini but waitress acted like she never heard of it. Asked for her recommendations and she just looked at us. We had to tell her to ask the bartender if he knew how to make the martinis. In the meantime the 4 of us ordered rum/cokes and margaritas. The margaritas were bad/very sour. The bartender did come over and tell us she could come up with the martinis using starbucks liquer and baileys. They were very good. We commented several times on the bad margaritas but the waitress didn't respond at all. Bartender did com over and ask about our "martinis" but never inquired why we weren't drinking our margaritas. Not the scene making kind of people so we let it go. Lost power in our room the next morning. Called and it was fixed in about 10 min. I would stay again away from the elevator but I might try some other places the next few times for comparison. Valet checkout/fast.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It's in a great location about four blocks from Navy Pier and two blocks from Michigan Ave. The room was huge with a 12 foot closet and a large bathroom with a fantastic shower head. There were four women in our room and we were all comfortable. The service at this hotel was great. We called a few times for towels and extra hangers, not only did they arrive within ten minutes guest services called our room to each time to confirm the delivery. The indoor pool, locker room and weight room were beautiful. We will for sure return......

spent two nights; room was large enough, bathroom was also larger than expected. I recently stayed at highly rated resort in Wisc. Dells and this room was much better. Bed was very comfortable. Only downside on the room was some cleaning bags left behind by staff. Location is excellent for what we wanted to do-shop on Magnificent Mile, take river tour, see Wicked. All were done walking; only needed to take cab to/from Ogilvie Station. Only knock is on security-seemed lax, and fact that everything seemed to be "a la carte" and not inexpensive. For example, breakfast at the in house eatery was 3x what we paid at local restaurant

What a disappointment! I stayed here about ten years ago and the hotel was amazing - I had high hopes for our trip. Unfortunately, I was disappointed almost as soon as I got in our room. The room was super small, you couldn't even see the television from the bed! The room was laid out rather strangely, and the bathroom was horribly small! (I couldn't heat my curling iron while i dried my hair because there wasn't enough counter space.) When I sat down on the bed, I saw a bunch of white stains on the comforter - completely disgusting. Being curious and hoping to rule out my worst fear, I rubbed my finger across it, only to confirm my suspicions. I immediately called the front desk, who said they'd send housekeeping up - an hour later, housekeeping hadn't shown. I called back down and asked to speak with a manager, who apparently was "busy." They sent up housekeeping (this time she arrived in 10 minutes) who kept telling us that it was nothing but bleach. (Last time I checked, bleach didn't leave a crusty spot on things) Eventually, we got her to change the comforter, but it took a good 30 minutes to convince her. The bed itself was comfortable and I slept well, and we had an AMAZING view of Navy Pier. Room service took forever, and was barely warm. It took us 20 minutes to get an elevator to check out, because they were all full. Obviously, the bed was the most disturbing part of my trip - especially since I couldn't seem to get it taken care of. We waited around for the housekeeper, and lost precious time on our one night trip! They do nickel & dime you here so beware! Great location, though!

We went for a two day stay, myself and my two teen age sons. They loved the pool, however the chlorine smell was enough to make you leave the area. The staff was very helpful and friendly for the most part. Our room was clean and we could see the lake from it. We were about two blocks off Michigan Ave and close to alot of attractions. Snacks, drinks and the hotel restaurants were very pricey. We tried to go else where for these things. Being a single mom, I'm very concerned with security and we felt safe. The hotel staff was very good at advising means of travel and one of the bell staff gave me his front desk number in case we couldn't get a taxi after the White Sox game. Overall, we were pleased. It is expensive, but Chcago is just like that wherever you go. We would definitely stay there again.

Walking distance to Navy Pier, right on the river. Kid friendly, clean. Standard room is standard size (small, with two double beds) but comfortable. Didn't try all on-site restaurants except for the burger restaurant - great for lunch - and the breakfast buffet - which was expensive (21/adult + tax + tip, with one kid free for each paid adult) but very easy since it's right downstairs and it was quite good with lots of choices for everyone. Front desk and other service people were friendly and helpful. Pool water was a little tough on the eyes. Overall, a nice hotel and fine for kids.
