This hotel was great to stay in. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to our suite. We could not believe that we were staying in a suite for the price we were paying. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. It was easy to get to shopping on Michigan Ave., trolley rides, bus stop and other attractions. We (2 women) felt very safe walking back to the hotel even after dark. I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends.

The Seneca Hotel was outstanding. The staff was courteous and professional. We had a one bedroon suite that was very spacious and comfortable. Hotel is near Michigan Ave but far enough away to be very quiet.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend of the St. Patricks day Parade. I found that the location was great. It is very close to Michigan Ave. and all the stores. A cab ride anywhere downtown is like 5 bucks. If you go to the museums though its more like 12-15 dollars for a cab ride and the museums are not very good. The room itself was smaller, but with a kitchenette which is great. The TV was small and the bathrooms were outdated but clean. It did have a jet tub for baths. The room smelled as if it were older, but clean. It took a while for the heat to kick on but worked great. The staff was great. The front desk gave me a number of a flourist before we came so I could have flowers waiting for my wife. Flowers were expensive, and I wanted them in my room waiting, but instead they were waiting at the fornt desk. This was because they dont gaurentee you a room until three o clock. The views from the room are not the greatest, but then again we didnt spend alot of time in the room. The doormen will flag a cab for you so you dont have too. All in all it was a good trip. I would stay here again becuase it was convienent, but a little pricey...mostly because of the weekend I picked. Hope this review helps...oh year if you fly into O'Hare, take the CTA blue Line to the Red Line and up to Chicago stop. You can get a cab from there to go to hotel or its a 7 minute walk. Its on the corner of Chicago and state streets and not far from the hotel.

had a great time. the staff was VERY friendly. the room was awesome. Bed was comfortable. It took a while for the room to warm up but once it did it was very warm. The steak house was excellent! great service. friendly staff. I would stay there again. I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

Photos online did not match the room we got. I am assuming we got an older room that hasn't been updated but the photos online are of upgraded and updated rooms. Our room was old, smelly, small bathroom, atrocious kitchen facilities. Location was incredible though, especially for the price of the room. I don't think I will stay there again, but thankfully we pretty much slept there only. We were hardly in the room other than that. Also, the heater didn't work well, so we froze. On the plus side the rooms were spacious (we got a suite) and of course you can't beat the location. Don't look at the internet photos and expect that's what you'll get for a room. My only advice.

This hotel is in a great location, next to the John Hancock building, the Cheesecake Factory, and the Magnificent Mile. The room was a little outdated but had a kitchen and everything we needed. We'd definitely stay here again!!!
