I have been staying here in Peoria for almost a month, my husband had heart surgery with complications. I have been staying in motels so as to be near him if needed. This was my fourth motel. The place is clean enough, and safe. However on my last night there, we were awakened by the fire alarm going off at mid-night. Everyone was herded outside, where we stood for a few minutes waiting for something to happen. Nothing did. We received no apology or explanation. The alarm went off again at 1 am but was quickly turned off. This set me up for a sleepless night. I also don't understand the charge for breakfast, 5.95 for continental, 7.95 for a hot one. I like the place but it is over priced.
This hotel was very clean. The pool area was very nice and the staff that I encountered, was friendly and courteous. The construction around the hotel as an absolute nightmare. Better signage to the hotel would be appreciated. The construction workers started at 6 AM right outside our window.
Moderately priced hotel offers a breakfast buffet, in-room work spaces and other amenities for business travelers.
The first Marriott hotel opened in 1957, and has since expanded to several different brands, with Courtyard serving business travel
