Girls weekend. We get together every year and do some catching up. We love this hotel, we stay here every year. The hotel is so nice and clean everyone is so polite and helpfull. One thing I did notice was the bars that was in the main lobby are no longer there, I am so glad. Always enjoy the stay there, Will difinately be coming back.
The Ashland Plaza used to be the crown jewel of Ashland, KY business travelers. It was the place to stay. Now the room was nice, but there was no pool, no lounge and even though they said they had a restaurant, I didn't go there because I couldn't get a beer with my meal. That being said... there are plenty of nice restaurants very neer and Ashland is a great place to hang out. Lots of fun things to do on a business night.
I took my wife to the hotel we went to after our wedding 15 years ago and they probably hadnt updated their rooms since then. It was very clean but the bathroom was too small. The 19 inch tv was too small, the room had a microwave but no fridge. I went theri to relive my honeymoon I guess we didnt really notice the room when we stayed their the first time. The bar and restarauant was closed and the town was dead on labor day weekend.
The WORST experience we've ever had. The rooms stunk. Staff would not stop excessive partying in the hallway at 3:00 am, even after calling them three times. The people next door was pounding on our wall, keeping all of us awake, again, staff did nothing. Our television set didn't work the entire weekend. We called three times and they never did fix it. We stopped in at the bar to get my mom some coffee. After waiting for over an hour we decided that was a lost cause. The sheets were clean, however the bedspread and blanket were dirty. The chairs were covered in stains... it was simply a nightmare!! We had another family member staying on the 9th floor in a suite and while I can say that their room was much better, they also weren't able to watch television and the staff was not helpful in helping them resolve the problem. PLEASE do not put yourself through the misery of staying there. There are other places to stay... please do your research.
