I travelled to New Orleans to attend the wedding of a friend. The B&B was within walking distance of the church. However, we needed our rental car to travel to the French Quarter and other parts of New Orleans. The trolleys are still not running, but public buses are running in their place. I definately recommend getting a rental car to experience the city. The B&B is located in a residential neighborhood. If the few parking spaces at the B&B are taken, there is plenty of free parking on the street.Tom & Patricia, the owners of the B&B, are gracious hosts. Tom has plenty of recommendations for what to do in New Orleans. This was especially helpful since this was our first visit. Their chef makes an excellent hot breakfast. Cold breakfast is also available. The candy bowl is always full with top-grade sweets and the brownie dish was great for any late night munchies. Free beer, wine, and cheese on Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 6:30 was an unexpected surprise. All doors to the B&B are locked and remain locked 24 hours a day. Each guest is given their own key to the front door and to their bedroom. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Our bathroom was also spacious and clean. Tom & Patricia are relatively new B&B operators and are new to listing their B&B on Travelocity. You can tell they try their best for you to have a wonderful experience and all your needs are met.If we travel to New Orleans again, we will definately attempt to stay at this B&B in the future.
I wish I had known about this sooner. Stayed 4 days instead of originally planned 2. Great location, parking, residential area rather than commercial. Safe neighborhood!!!
Our stay there was absolutely the nicest hotel stay we have ever had. The house is beautiful, charming hosts, wonderful breakfasts, and great location. No expense was spared in restoring and decorating the rooms. I felt pampered and catered to. Most of the guests in the guestbook were on their honemoons. (no rooms have two beds)
