I have stayed at Sheraton's often throughout my life. The entrance, lobby, and hotel appearance is very nice...seemed clean and modern. I had asked for something to be done prior to my visit, and it was not. We faxed what we needed to, but no one followed up, after promising to do so. A lot of young front desk staff. Been in service all of my life. You know when someone is trying to "put you off". "Oh, you have several hours to handle that, you can do it later". Missing the whole point of-it was supposed to be done already, so I would not have to stand there & wait w/2 fidgety kids. Room was ok, needed a little update, could have been a little cleaner. I notice details, as a former waitress..some stains on comforter, some white something on wall (shave cream)? I just think if I notice, they should have. Rm service was fast and very good. Bruschetta too garlicky-don't get. Staff overall was very friendly and professional. Water park was a blast and to have a room to go to is a must. You need to take a break, and it's so nice to be able to do that. People on my floor were incredbily noisy until late. I was so tired, did not call to complain. Maybe ask for a floor "not near" any big groups. A lot of kids come to Water Park as a group and stay at hotel. Food in water park very pricey but fun and convenient. Water Park is clean and well operated. The hotel is "stayable" to be able to do the water park. That was our focus. I am rather picky and would not stay if hotel was any lower quality.
We changed rooms twice because of cleanliness, showers that didn't drain and no ceiling tiles. This hotel needs major renovations. It is dirty and in disrepair. My room stank of mildew. Very poor housekeeping and maintenance in rooms, elevators, everywhere. This is the worst place I've ever stayed - a very poor value for the money. This is a huge low for Sheraton.
We stayed at the hotel to enjoy the new water park. The kids loved the park (ages 12 & 13). The room was clean and newly updated. We called and asked for extra blankets and a cot which arrived within 10 minutes. Plus our room was ready when we arrived around noon. I highly recommend the water park for a family adventure and the hotel also provided a comfortable stay. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews, which is why I am taking the time to write this review.
Hotel was getting much needed renovations, but during our stay the power was out for several hours one day and we didn't have water for several hours another. The rooms were in HORRIBLE shape and smelled of cigarette smoke. They really should have closed during the renovation or at least offered rooms at a VERY reduced rate.
The hote was getting a much needed facelift. The Lobby was unusable. The furniture was beat-up & old. The only saving grace as the staff. This was a rip-off. Sheraton should have closed during remodeling. By staying open, they forever lost this customer
If you are going to have a wedding here, think twice. After the wedding, the bride and groom were kicked out by hotel security after security barged into our room. They were very rude. The rooms were nasty, mold in the shower, table lamp shades were broken, the comforters and the couch cover were covered with stains. Gross. The bar, Bogey's, was understaffed and totally incompetant.
