Bed bugs in the room!
I've had two separate stays at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Boston. The first stay was pleasant enough - staff was friendly and although the m...
This was a nice hotel. Very close to the T train which was very convient for us since we didn't have a car. The staff was helful with anything you wanted to know. I have say, the bed was awsome after a long day of walking around. We will come back again.
This is a nice hotel with good service, especially with any requests I made, such as asking for a quiet room away from the elevators and getting an extended checkout time without fee. Housekeeping was very good as well. The location is nice as far as being able to walk around to Faneuil Hall, the aquarium, the harbor, Newbury Street, Copley Square, Chinatown, and basically where ever I was headed to. Located close but not too close to subway stations made it easy to get around when I didn't want to walk. The doormen were good, and security seemed decent; there is no street level access to room floors. The bed was nice, room decent sized, and the bathroom fine. While I didn't expect it, for some reason the free in-room coffee was very good! The view out the window wasn't much to write home about but that was probably due to my particular room. Didn't try room service as there are plenty other places to eat a short walk away. The pool and health center were acceptable though on the small size. Nice bar and lobby area. Only complaint would be that it is very pricey which is somewhat expected for a downtown hotel in a big city; however, the prices in Boston seem inordinately high. I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again depending on the rate.
I came here with my 13 year old daughter very wary of staying on the edge of Chinatown but the service and security were excellent. Conceirge personnel and front desk were exceptional. Fitness center and pool are very nice. Food in the dining room is quite expensive but tasty. We really enjoyed the excellent view from our room and were so close to everything we walked almost everywhere. I will stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
I got a suggestion to stay here using my Gold Awards for 2 nights. During checkout, I was informed that the awards confirmation wasn't valid anymore and got charged a random rate.Staff and Management were totally unhelpful and unwilling during this situation, took no responsibility in mixup.Facilities are in decay, a section between hotel and gym looks like walking in an abandoned hospital. Rooms are also outdated.Best adivise, behare of what you sign during check-in.
I was very impressed by the friendly staff. After first day they remembered my name. Nice central location. The doorman always offered directions or a cab.
Had a great stay in one of my favorite cities. The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks from South Station which mackes getting to the hotel from the airport a snap. Its a long walk from the hotel to the convention center but on a nie day, the walk is faster than sitting in a cab! The hotel is right at downtown crossing so there is shopping all around, Boylston Street and Newbury Street have more great shopping and are walking distance. Emerson College and theater district is right there too. A short cab ride brings you to the North End for delicious Italian food.Really comfy beds and nice rooms though they are a little small. Friendly helpful staff too! I would stay there again no doubt!
