The Liberty Hotel was perfectly located and absolutely delightful to stay in. It is the rennovated "jail" but you are truly captured by the design, furnishings and ambience of the whole experience. It is plush, lush, and fun. The "T" was right across the street and easy to use. We walked the Freedom Trail, shopped on Newbury Street, toured Harvard and enjoyed great food in the evenings. The concierge was extremely helpful in getting us dinner reservations to the popular restaurants. The concierge assisted in renting us a car which was delivered directly to the hotel. Would definately stay at the Liberty our next time in Boston!***Next door at the Massachusetts Ear and Eye Infirmary there is a great cafe that has economical breakfasts and fresh fruit!

We arrived for an early wedding on the afternoon of Oct. 20th. I had asked in advance to have our rooms (2) ready in advance of the usual check-in time, and this courtesy was extended to us without a problem. The rooms were lovely with a beautiful harbor view, which we requested. Our young granddaughters were inpressed with the lovely vew from their room and the well stocked bathroom amenities (hair blower, shampoo, shower cap, etc). It was a most pleasant experience for the five of us, and we would certainly return to the Seaport again if there was occasion to be in that area. We were treated to New England's finest scenery (trees and foliage turning color) so the drive up was wonderful. Traffic on the return trip was horrendous---no fault of the wonderful hotel!!!

The Liberty had only been open 5 weeks when my friends and I stayed there....it is FABULOUS!! Very trendy and love that it has a JAIL theme. It use to be an old Jail and if you like a TRENDY place with GREAT service, BIG rooms and even BIGGER bathrooms you will love the LIBERTY!!! Alibi is the bar downstairs and it was the hot spot....if you are a guest you get right in or after a very short wait. The CLINK is the restaurant and it was VERY tasty!! It has a big lounge area to sit and have drinks outside of CLINK and the lobby....just a fun place to stay!! I WILL be staying there again very soon.

I stayed here Sept. 27-30th for a buisness meeting on the 17th floor overlooking the Charles River. The hotel was open less than a month. The lobby and rooms are immaculate and beautiful. Comfortable beds and new flat screen tv's. The bathroom was well appointed with a separate shower and soaking tub. My only complaints were the dining options and restaurants. Don't bother eating at the hotel. The food was very expensive and VERY disappointing. Your best bet is to go across the street to Charles street and have breakfast and dinner in one of the small but quaint restaurants. We loved the concierge's recommendation of "Figs" on Charles street and the Paramount for breakfast. The hotel is also a bit of a distance from tourist attractions. A 15 minuete walk to Faniel Hall/Freedom trail or a 15 minuete walk through the Public Gardens to Newburry Street. We felt the need for taxi's at night and those were hard to come by. Parking was also expensive at */night. Overall, a very nice stay but I would consider staying in a more convenient location next time.

I was a little concerned when found out this was a former prison, but if this is what its like take me away now... The property is really great with large rooms the staff SUPER attentive and friendly. everything is imaculate. Elegant design and has all the extras you love to have at home. huge flat screen TV, comfy bath robes, integrated ip phones, and large take me away bathtubs... wireless Nice job, I'll be back for a longer stay next time.

Beautiful lobby, well appointed and comfortable rooms. Luxurious robes. Attentive, knowledgable and pleasant staff. My only complaint is the dining and food service. The restaurant's menu was very limited and unimaginative. The following night I chose room service. It took well over an hour for the food to arrive. The hot food was cold and the ice cream was melted. Mycriticism is tempered by knowing that the hotel has been open for less than one month. Presumably these dining disappointments will be quickly corrected. I would stay there again.
