After walking through the beautiful lobby and seeing the lovely Oak Room bar, we were very disappointed when we arrived in the room. The room was very small and very dirty. The bathtub was covered with mildew and the linens were unclean. We were scheduled to stay for four nights and only stayed one, transferring to the Westin next door for the same price. Several other people at the conference had the same experience. While I am sure there are lovely rooms at the Fairmont Copley, I would not recommend staying in this hotel as the chances of having a bad room are too great.
Well this hotel is very beautiful but way over priced! the rooms are very tiny with hardly any room to do anything. The minibar as well as snacks are way over price come on * for a snickers that I could go down the street and buy for * cents. Close to down town so you can walk a lot but, we werent told until we checked in there is no hotel parking you must either find your own parking garage which is very costly or pay the hotle * a day to store your car. So you may get a deal on the room but dont forget the parking. Overall I wouldnt go back here and I only paid * per night. If I paid the * they were asking i would have been aggrivated!!!! Save your money there are plenty of nicer hotels in the Boston area!!!
The staff was most friendly and helpful. I could with ease state that of all the hotels I have frequented, this one oozed with courtesy.
Our room was cramped, the closet didn't have enough room to hang a suit and dress. We were kept awake most of the night from hallway noise. The exercise room is on the same floor as the smoking rooms and the hallway reeks of stale smoke, not exactly healthy.
service folks were very friendly, decor very lush, but bathroom, window and shower curtains in disrepair and two lamps with nearly-falling-off lampshades. Finery that looked worn out.
staying at the plaza at the concierge's floor is worth every penny! the gold floor gives you access to beautiful rooms, lounge, and an amazing kitchen where breakfast and cocktalis are served everyday. what a feast! you can also borrow cds, dvds, and books during your stay. our room was gorgeous, spacious and CLEAN! the staff will make you will feel like royalty!
Fabulous place to celebrate any occasion!

The "Grand Dame of Boston" sports an exterior that's reminiscent of New York's Plaza Hotel.

Out-britting the Brits
I've stayed at the hotel a few times - truly superb location and the Oak Room is stunning.
