Stayed here for New Years Eve. The location was perfect, we were able to see the fireworks from our room, directly in front of us. Included with our room was appetizers in the 15th floor lounge which were very good. Only wish they had more to chose from other than seafood. We returned later for cordials and desserts. Again, very good. We plan on returning next year.
A lovely hotel with the perfect location. We extended ou stay one night but did get a better price that on line. The room beautiful, the service good and a perfect quick Boston stay.
This hotel was wonderful. the location on the corner of Arlington and Newbury Streets across from Boston Commons was the best! Walks to the park, restaurants and plenty of shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the bathrooms were extremely small and we could sometimes here the person in the roon next door while he was on the phone.Nonetheless the benefits outweighed the detriments and I would stay there again soon.
Overall, the location/views are great. Food seemed way too expensive for value received. The beds were way too hard. Not a comfortable sleep. I was expecting great things from the Taj and was disappointed. My overall rating is a 3.
The Taj Boston used to be the Ritz Carlton. It's in a great location, just across from the Public Gardens. Newbury and Charles Streets are an easy walk. The hotel is first class, the staff is friendly, the conceirge is knowledgeable, and the beds are very comfortable.
