I made a reservation here 11 months in advance because I knew Boston would be booked during graduation season. Hampton oversold this hotel and bumped me from Crosstown to Peabody, and only notified me of this 1 day prior to my arrival. They said they had made a mistake with my reservation, that these mistakes happen from time to time, and that it is not the general manager's responsibility to make rearrangements to the customer's satisfaction. Overall, I experienced the worst customer service.
Excellent breakfast; complementary airport shuttle service was fantastic; facilities were comfortable and pleasant; staff was always attentive and answered every question I had. I was within walking distance of many business needs I had around Boston Medical Center. Will recommend this hotel to others in my organization who are visiting Boston on business and will stay there again myself.
This is a clean, comfortable hotel with outstanding staff and shuttle service. Unfortunately, it is located across from Boston General Hospital, so I heard at least three ambulances every evening/night, and two helicopters. We were told this is an urban renewal area, so there were limited places to go to eat within walking distance, with panhandlers along the way.
Our family stay was due to the fact that our son was having heart surgery at Childrens Hospital and we needed a place to stay. Breakfast and the shuttle service made it very convenient and it was comforting to know we could have a quick breakfast without worry and hop on the shuttle to get us to and from the hospital. Drivers were more than accomodating. Our stay here helped make it easy to concentrate on the health of our son while being so far from home.
The hotel itself was very nice, but the neighborhood is not nice at all. Nice hotel bad location.
The location is a bit outskirt, but with bus and T, we had no trouble getting anywhere. Besides, the shuttle service was like our personal cab either from the airport or to downtown. Great room, yummy breakfast, friendly people. Highly recommended!
