I knew it was trouble as soon as i walked in the front lobby. The woman at the desk just looked at my friends and I. No "hello, how may I help you?" I greeted the woman at the front desk. When the toilet in the room overflowed, I received no help. My fellow guests and I had to walk to the toilet in the poolhouse. Upon checkout, the same front desk worker and another hotel worker greeted my friend and I with a "they look hungover." (again no "hello, good morning"). We were not hungover but were informed that the pople in the room next to us had to be moved because they complained of our noise. The only reason we were making noise was due to our overflowed toilet which we informed the worker about. She replied by saying "oh yeah, we got your messages...we were all laughing." The shower felt like a cave, the cleanliness I would place as questionable (our comforter got toilet water on it). The male staff members seemed to be following us around, they did not make us feel comfortable. If you want a somewhat decent room with awful service, stay here. Don't expect anything from the hotel staff.

I won't even call it a budget motel. It has beautiful buildings and grounds. I've stayed in a lot of cheapo places because they're all I can afford, and they usually give me exactly what I pay for. But this place made me feel like I was treating my wife and daughter and myself to a very special vacation. I recommend Helen's Diner (on the premises) for breakfast. Try the hashbrowns. The staff is very courteous and charming. I heard several different people checking out saying, "See you next year." If my family and I visit Cape Cod again, we'll definitely stay here. I can't imagine anyone giving this place a poor review. It was the best.

IIt appears pleasant online, but on arrival the room reeked of mildew, there were hairs on the bed, and there were blood stains on one of the pillows. When we alerted the staff, they didn?t even offer an apology. I wouldn?t trust the cleanliness of the jacuzzi tub to use it. Not worth it.

We wanted just a place to spend the night, but ended up enjoying the Tidewater so much that we used the pool and the little restaurant for breakfast. It is clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly...they even let us check in at 11:00am! The off-season rate per travel agent was very reasonable..what a bargain!

The Tidewater Inn is a large, no-nonsense accomdation on Route 28, not far from the east end of Main Street in Hyannis. The rooms are clean and safe, though not luxurious. The coffee shop on site has a good menu, pleasant staff, and a fun atmosphere. A great value amid Cape Cod's outrageous expense and hype.

The rooms, indoor and outdoor pool, and hot tub were extremely clean. Not fancy at all, but a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. This is a nicer place than the low price might lead you to believe. Even my picky teenage daughter enjoyed it. Also very close to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was courteous and helpful.
