Hampton Inn of Frostburg is conveniently located ¼ mile off Exit 34 on Interstate 68. We are just 1 mile from Frostburg State University, 6 miles from historic Cumberland's Western Maryland Railroad and just 2½ hours from Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Pittsburgh, PA. airports. Other area attractions are Thrasher's Carriage Museum, Country Club Mall, LaVale Tollgate House, Rocky Gap State Park featuring a Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and The Wisp Ski and Golf Resort. Within 1.5 miles you can dine at the Four Star French restaurant, Au Petit Paris, Giuseppe's Italian restaurant, enjoy Greek dining at the Acropolis or choose from many other types of cuisine, all of which are locally owned and operated. Our award winning hotel features 72 rooms, an indoor pool and whirlpool to relax in, a big screen TV in the lobby and a cardiovascular workout area to help our guests maintain their workout schedule. We have 5 different room types including King Study and handicap accessible rooms. The King Study features a sofa bed for added comfort and extra space to entertain. We also have King Jacuzzi rooms for that extra touch of relaxation. Eighty-five percent of our guest rooms are non-smoking. Your amenities include wireless high-speed internet connectivity, dataport access in every guest room, our new On-The-House breakfast that features hot items daily. We also have On-The-Run breakfast bags for our guests with limited time. Our rooms feature an in-room coffee maker, micro/fridge unit, iron and ironing board, a work area with data port access or a lap desk, voice mail and a free in-room movie channel all to make your stay more comfortable. We also offer connecting rooms, cribs and rollaway beds as an added convenience to our guests. Valet laundry services and a guest Laundromat are also available. Most importantly. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 3 years when I visit Western Maryland for business purposes. This hotel is located right off I-68 so it's easy to get to. The rooms are always pleasantly clean (I'm a clean fanatic, so I'm very critical), the beds are super comfy, the free breakast is plentiful & fresh, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that because it sets up at the top of the hilll, it's SOOOOO windy there, no matter what time of year. But, what a view! There is a Burger King across the parking lot & the mall and other shopping/restaurants in Lavale are only 10 minutes away. Overall, this Hampton Inn is the best place to stay in the Cumberland area, for business travel or otherwise, and it's one of my favorite Hampton Inns in the country!
