The rooms are 30 yards from Rt-3, the busiest and only road to Acadia nation park. Room is tiny. That's why their policy do not allow extra person in room, there is no extra space. The room has bad smell.

We were able to secure a cottage with no prior reservations in October, something I was wary of. But I figured it beat the planned lodging - camping on a 30 degree night. We were pleasantly surprised with clean and cozy accommodations in a cute little bungalow. The kids loved having their own little ""house."" The staff were efficient, welcoming, and accommodating. I would stay again.

In my position as Location coordinator for an independent film company, I do a great deal of traveling and stay in quite a few motels. I was in Maine on business last November and stayed at the Isleview Motel in one of their cottages. It was one of the nicer experiences I've had. Clean, efficient and very accommodating. After I make my recommendations on this location, (if we get the green light) I will bring the company with me when I return. My stay was met with friendly people who were eager to help me have the best stay possible.P.S. Neither the staff nor the owner knew my business, so I don't believe I received preferential treatment.

We'll definately come back. The staff was friendly and helpful. The kids had a blast with the dog Fin(?). The fire pit was a real treat. The convenience to Acadia Nat. Park was fantastic, only 10 minutes away.

I was in town with my 2 kids for a 50th anniversary celebration. The family was supposed to put us up but miscalculated available space so I was stuck with no place to stay-they heard that the Isleview was great, so they checked with some of their contacts who said YES, it was a great place to stay. Well, the folks in the know sure knew! We went there totally blind and were delighted by the quaint, cozy, clean, beautiful cottage. My kids thought it was great to have our own little place. The owner was a sweetheart who really worked hard to help us out and made great suggestions for restaurants, cool hikes, and great gift stores where we picked out an anniversary gift. The location, of course, is fabulous so we'd like to return to explore Acadia more. We'll be back to the Isleview-thank you!
