This hotel has it all... a beautiful view of Grand Traverse Bay with private beach, water sports, helpful and pleasant staff, loaded with extras you wouldn't expect from a reasonably priced room. There is a Playstation for viewing movies and playing games in every room. There is a TV and phone in the bathrooms (in addition to the other phone and TV in the room). The suites have jacuzzi tubs, robes, ceiling fans, triple sheets, 3 TVs, and living area separate from bedroom, balcony with chairs, not to mention fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer, heat lamp, safe... just a fabulous place. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to a superior suite at a deep discount when we requested another room because of the location. The free breakfast was adequate with waffles you can make, yogurt, cereal, toast, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit... computer in lobby for free use, games to play, movies to rent, indoor pool & spa. We loved this place! We came for a romantic getaway and went on a tour of wineries and lighthouses. Our vacation was perfect thanks to the Cherry Treel Inn. Thank you!
My husband and I booked a night at the Cherry Tree Inn on a tour of Inns through Traverse City and this one was by far our favorite. The staff was the best, smiling faces, speedy service, friendly, and full of personality. The room we stayed in was a spa sweet, which was tastefully decorated and by far the most comfortable room we have ever styed in. The bed was just the right amount of softness with lots of support. The spa tub was very large and cozy, and for the first time ever at a hotel didn't run out of hot water, we even left the hot water running for the better part of an hour. This Inn was by far the best part of our T.C. getaway.
A nice property with a great view. The all non-smoking is a big plus! They are ""going"" condo, so things may be upgraded. A nice stay for the price.
The only good thing of the whole place was the cleanliness of the room. The worst part was the blatant lie about being non smoking! The guy in the room next to us sat on his balcony and smoked the entire time we were there! Our room was on the ground floor so anytime we wanted to go out to the water, we had to endure being down wind of the jerk. And management refused to do anything because he was smoking outside! It didn't even matter that our air conditioning unit in the stale horrid smell of smoke. The lazy, worthless manager refused to even move us to different room. The only places that are nonsmoking are your room and the lobby. I have severe asthma and this place was a joke!
