this hotel is freaking awsome!! i lurved it. but i orded room service and it didnt come for like 20 minutes! i was veary dissappointed....
We paid * plus hotel and state tax per night. Far from the price I saw quoted here. I made reservations through the hotel because I thought we were getting a price break because we were with a wedding group. My total bill came to almost * for two nights. They charge a * fee per person to transfer your luggage from the dock to the hotel. They charge you a * fee per person for shuttle service from the dock. Our room was okay except for very uncomfortable beds. They have two buildings, one is about a block and a half away from the main hotel. The building we stayed in was very poorly maintained. There were big chunks of cement missing on the porches, and no railings. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Beautiful location. Big facility. Staff was nice. Overpriced. Rooms are small and have no A/C to ""preserve historic value"" - not good news for allergy/asthma sufferers. Paint was chipping from ceiling in bathroom. We could hear everything in the next room and above us - too clearly. Partyers loud all night outside - rough when your windows have to be open! Wanted to cancel reservation due to emergency and hotel refused to refund, but offered to reschedule. Mixed thoughts. I will choose another hotel the next time.
I won a gift certificate to this resort. NOT WORTH the money. The rooms smelled, the beds very uncomfortable. It's an old dorm and you can hear EVERYTHING around you. I would not waste my or anyone elses to go back again.
