The Hotel Bothwell, an Ascend Collection™ is more than 90-years-old, serving as a charming reminder of a simpler era. The Katy Depot Historic Site, one of the largest train depots between Kansas City and St. Louis, is one mile away and features a number of railroad heritage exhibits including locomotive artwork, period pieces and Missouri-made products. A number of wineries are located along the trail and offer wine-tasting events throughout the year.The hotel features architectural details such as crown molding, gilded accents, marble thresholds, and crystal chandeliers. Guests can enjoy fine dining for lunch or dinner in the ragtime setting of the on-site Ivory Grille Restaurant where they can surround themselves in the elegant and polished atmosphere. Relax in the casual environment of the Ivory Keys Lounge, located in the hotel's lower level and featuring oversized chairs, a fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. Free deluxe continental breakfast with Belgian waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, assorted cereals, pastries, juice, coffee and tea is served daily in this historic hotel's coffee shop. Free coffee is also available 24-hours a day. This hotel offers additional features and amenities, including free wireless high-speed internet access, free USA Today, business center, fitness room and sauna, and a gift shop. The hotel has an on-site meeting room that can accommodate up to 25 people for most functions. The Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 150 people and features marble flooring, golden cornices, opulent chandeliers and balconies.
