We stayed here on a return trip to GA from DC via the Outer Banks. This hotel is a true gem and we will stay here again. Everything about this hotel was great for anyone from a business traveler to a family. Clean, convenient, heated pool and hot tub, on the beach, etc. This hotel is the best overall experience I have had at a hotel in this price range anywhere!

I highly recommend this hotel for a perfect beach weekend get away. The third story suites with oceanviews are the best rooms for enjoying the ocean from a private balcony. It is worth the extra money to book the ocean view rooms, if available. The suites are very large in size and have a mini kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, and generous counter space for preparing snacks. We found the room very private with no problems with sounds from the hallway or nearby rooms. The free morning breakfast is the best with lots of choices: fresh cut fruit, not canned; eggs and bacon;a large selection of bread, muffins, bagels for toasting; several types of cereals including oatmeal; yogurt; milk , juices, tea (several varieties), three types of coffee. The hotel has a fairly small fitness room but fortunately the room was never crowded and we could work out at our convenience. Next to the fitness room is a fairly small indoor heated pool, when kids are in the water it is difficult to swim laps for exercise. A small indoor hot tub with room for 4 is next to the indoor pool. During our stay the unheated outdoor pool was open but too cold to use. The hotel is located on the beach behind the sand dunes. The beach is wide and very private. It is a perfect walking beach. The diner next to the hotel was not open in April but we have eaten there when it is opened during the high season. The diner prices are quite high, but is is convenient for a quick sandwich and dessert. The hotel has a 24 hour store with nice selection of drink and snack foods. In the large front foyer is large beautiful display of shell art, very awesome.

My second time staying here, service was excellent. Check-in took less than 3 minutes and I was on the way to my room. Very quiet location here in Corolla, you are able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Nags Head area. Staff, from the desk to housekeeping are all friendly and truly make you feel at home. Many places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive either direction on Route 12. Will definitely be back!

I stay here often. Corolla is a little less comercialized than Nags Head which suites me fine. I LOVE Hampton Inn's bedding - the BEST. Staff is great. Breakfast is very good and free. Indoor and outdoor pools. Opt for the 'suite"" if you can.

Let me say this is a great hotel. My family and I just returned from our first trip to the Outer Banks. We researched places to stay and based on the reviews from this site we opted for the Hampton Inn. We were not disappointed. The hotel staff was great...better than most 5 star hotels. The hotel was very clean, location was good, the breakfast was excellent and the pool/beach were perfect. The room got a little tight for five people at times but no big deal. I would highly recommend this hotel if your going to the Outer Banks for vacation.
